Summer Issue - 2022

Well here we are, at the end of another academic year and what a year
it’s been! The Autumn Term saw the whole PTA events schedule having to be
totally rethought to be COVID compliant. It was such a shame not to have
our usual Christmas Fair but the children’s mini fair, run during school, was
amazing and a very successful ‘Plan B’! Spring saw the slow return of some of
our favourite events, like Movie Night, and by the Summer, it felt like we were
able to run far more normally again, with the long-awaited school discos,
quiz night and Summer Fair which we all enjoyed!
With a huge amount of hard work and dedication from our amazing
volunteer members, we have now managed to raise enough money to
purchase the class set of iPads and charging trolley which has been the
PTA’s goal for some time. This is fantastic news and will hugely enhance the
children’s learning going forwards!
We are so pleased to have reached this target whilst some of our key Year
6 PTA members are still in school, who have worked towards this throughout
lockdown and beyond. We would like to send our very best wishes to those
PTA members that will be leaving us this year, as their children leave the
school, and send them our huge thanks for all they have done to help
support both the school and our newer members over the years.
The PTA have spent a lot of time this year working on additional events in
order to try and compensate for the losses during COVID, making changes
to how we order and take payments for events, as well as trying to make
decisions with an eco-friendly hat on. We know this has involved an
increase in communications and so finally, we send our biggest thanks to all
of YOU… for supporting all our events and offering your time and
donations when requested. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you and

every event you support has a huge impact on the lives of our children in
school and helps us reach our goals! THANK YOU SO MUCH :)
We wish you all a very relaxing and enjoyable summer break and we look
forward to another successful calendar of events, next academic year.
