Overview on Prose
According to MasterClass, prose is verbal or
written language that follows the natural
flow of speech. It is the most common form
of writing, used in both fiction and non-
fiction. Prose comes from the Latin “prosa
oratio,” meaning “straightforward.”

longer than a short story.

between 30,000 to 60,000 words.

5. It may contain a concrete symbol which is


the steady point at the heart of the narrative.
