1. INTRODUCTION
This report outlines the structural design analysis of the foundation for Pipe Rack 1 – Unit 01. The
structural system is steel columns and beams with reinforced concrete pedestal and isolated footing
on well compacted base soil.

Reinforcing Bars shall conform to ASTM A615, Grade 60 (420 MPa) for Ø16mm and larger

6. RESULTS/SUMMARY
Reinforced concrete column pedestal was designed with a dimension of 450mm by 450mm with 12
numbers of 16mm diameter vertical reinforcement with 10mm diameter ties spaced at 150mm on
center.
Base plate dimension shall be 350mm by 350mm by 22mm thick with 6 numbers of 20mm diameter
anchor bolts.
Foundation shall be isolated footing, 300mm thick and 1400mm by 1400mm, 1200mm deep, with
16mm diameter bottom bars spaced at 200mm each way and 12mm diameter top bars spaced at
200mm each way.
