Communication (Evening Program) at the University of Karachi.

Pioneer of Community and Social Development Programs

1) Antiterrorism Training Program for Educational Institutions

Introduced, planned, and organized an anti-terrorism training program for educational institutions with the
help of the Special Security Unit of Sindh Police in 2014 for the very first time in Pakistan. First-ever anti-
terrorism training was provided to students of Greenwich University Karachi on 11th December 2014.
Afterward, this training was offered to all educational institutions, media organizations, and medical
professionals from the Special Security Units platform. It is important to note that the idea pioneered by
me was adopted by several law enforcement agencies and rangers after Peshawar School Incident.

2) On Road Safety Awareness Campaign on Violations of Traffic Rules

Introduced, planned, and organized on road safety awareness campaign on violations of traffic rules with
the help of Traffic Police Sindh for the very first time in Pakistan. On 5th November 2015 for the first time
in Pakistan students of the department of Media studies, Greenwich University along with their course in-
charge Ms. Tahira Tariq with the help of Karachi Traffic Police organized an on-road campaign against
violation of traffic rules near Sultan Masjid DHA Karachi. DIG Traffic Ameer Ahmed Sheikh was also
present at the campaign. The idea pioneered by me was adopted by several organizations and since
then various campaigns are launched in our city by different organizations and institutions.

3) Advocacy Campaigns for Providing Better Learning Facilities at Educational Institutions

Introduced, planned, and successfully completed a building renovation project at the department of the
Mass Communication University of Karachi by using advocacy campaigns. The building of said
department was in dire need of maintenance and due to financial constraints, University was unable to
provide the required funds for repairs and maintenance. The department was renovated by Shahid Afridi
Foundation and is now providing better learning facilities to students.

4) Advocacy Campaigns for Admitting Non-School Going Children to Schools

Planned and introduced advocacy campaigns for the Non-school going Children School Project and
successfully admitted 12 street children to government-run schools. The objective of the Street Children
School Project is to provide basic and primary education to the children of the unprivileged class of our
society so they may go to school for learning rather than waste time roaming the streets and becoming
drug addicts or members of a gang.
