It’s Sunday and I’m at the stadium. I’m watching I love cross country skiing. I know
a football match. My favourite football team that our skiers want to be Polish
are wearing red shirts and shorts, and have red champions this winter. They are fantastic
sportspeople. They have professional clothing
boots on. I’m wearing a red T-shirt and a cap and equipment. Their amazing skills,
with their logo on. It’s half time and my team modern skis and high-quality boots
are winning 2:1. Why? Because they are the best! always help them to win.

Sailing races usually take place in summer, but this year we are sailing in the autumn.
Why? Because the race is in Greece, and in summer it’s always very hot there.
In autumn the temperature is just right. We also have more time to prepare our boat

It’s the end of the 19th century. Ferdinand Cheval is a French postman. He dreams
about building his own palace. He finishes school at the age of thirteen and has
a minimal formal education but reads a lot and collects stones to start his project.

Finally, after thirty-three years he brings his dream project to life – Le Palais Ideal
is completed. Tourists can visit his fantastic dream palace 30 miles from Lyon,
in France.
One of the most unusual buildings is the front of the car park for the public library.
It is a modern structure designed in the first ten years of the 21st century by the
architect W.F. Hackney. It is in the central part of Kansas City, the USA. It is unusual

because it looks like books on a shelf. The ’books’ are twenty-five feet high and
nine feet wide. The bookshelf has twenty-two titles of well-known books e.g.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.
