If you were the lawyer who presided the case of the land dispute in Calamba, will

you side to the Dominicans who have done you favors to keep your position or to
your fellow townfolk who demand an explanation as to why the Dominicans were
keeping secrets to them regerding taxes and land ownership?

If I am the lawyer who presided the case of the land dispute in Calamba, I
wanted to be fair and treat all fairly, so clearly I am not on the side of the Dominicans or
even my fellow citizens; in other words, I do not take sides. Yes, I owe the Dominicans
gratitude for allowing me to hold my job, but it is not right if I am self-centered,
recognizing that I owe the Dominicans gratitude for a favor. On the other hand, I want to
listen to what my fellow citizens are battling for and why they are demanding what they
are demanding, But, as a lawyer, I play an important role in the protection of society as
one of the law's guardians, and one of my responsibilities is to assist the issue, which in
this case is the land dispute in Calamba, and to provide legal advice and counsel. In this
situation, I will win on the basis of justice, listening to both sides and ensuring that there
is no prejudice.
