What are the positive and negative effects of economic globalization?

Does global free trade do more good or more harm?

Globalization has been extremely significant in terms of the development and

growth of certain countries economically speaking. Interaction technology significantly

contributed to the improved openness that globalization is credited with delivering. Real-

time information, research, analysis, and report interchange between federal

governments are now possible, and this has increased international cooperation.

However, there are also some aspects of globalization that brings negativity to some

countries. In this essay, I am going to share with you the positives and the negatives that

globalization can bring and whether global free trade does more good or harm.

To start, let us first proceed to the positives. First, there is a strong case to be made

that globalization not only contributes significantly to the advancement of technology and

the economy but also fosters cross-national cultural interchange. Thus, globalization is

what drove many corporations to expand internationally and contribute to local jobs and

technology. Particularly, when a corporation opens a facility in a developing nation, the

new machinery, the new management techniques, and the employment openings are all

to the benefit of the community there. Furthermore, globalization allows people to better

understand one another. Examples of that are movies showing cultures other than

Hollywood more and more frequently now, with recent examples including "Shang-Chi"

and "Mulan." For the negatives, let's start with the most noticeable problem which is the

unequal growth and wealth of countries. Even though many countries see faster

economic growth as a result of globalization, richer countries frequently gain more from

this expansion than emerging countries. As I've mentioned in my introduction whether

free trade is good or bad, my answer to that question is yes it's bad in terms of

environmental susceptibility. Because free trade is less regulated and although the

conditions of free trade may be very favorable for increased economic gain, concerns

about the social and environmental effects of business are frequently ignored, which has

disastrous effects on the people involved in the production process who are frequently

most adversely affected by free trade practices.

In conclusion, I would agree that there are some negative repercussions of

globalization. Despite this, the advantages it produces much exceed the drawbacks.

Overall, I'm certain that we should continue to support globalization while also pressing

local authorities to take action against Free trade complications and cultural destructions.
