LESSON PLAN
I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Discuss the procedure of PCB Etching.
2. Perform the step-by-step process of PCB Etching.
3. Value the importance of PCB Etching.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preparation
1. Daily routine
a. Class prayer
b. Greetings
"Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, Class!"
c. Checking of Attendance
➢ Ask the class secretary about the absentees
B. Presentation
1. Motivation
Bring it with ME!
The teacher will show a hint or description on the screen. The first (2)
persons to comment "FIGHTING!" on the chatroom and display the
items on the video chat screen, WINS
1. Something that has copper or made copper
2. We use it in every electronics subject, and it's a plastic board
with a bunch of tiny holes in it.

2. Raised-up questions
1. What is the connection between these two items in our lesson?
4. Lesson Proper
What is PCB?
➢ PCB or Printed Circuit Board is used to support and
electrically connect electronic components using conductive
pathways mechanically.
➢ It serves as the backbone of the device.
a. Teacher demonstration
Safety Precaution
1. Remove all jewelry when performing the activity
2. Eating and drinking are prohibited.
3. Avoid horse playing.
4. Be familiar with the tools and chemicals to be used.
5. Do not perform the activity unless the instructor told you to
do so.

6. If an accident happens, report immediately to the instructor.
b. Application
Each of the students will follow the steps discussed earlier
1. Prepare the materials needed. We will be using a pentel
pen, pencil, gloves, PCB, Ferric Chloride, and plastic
container.
2. Draw up the layout
3. Subject to the etching process.
**For the etching process, put enough ferric chloride into the
container to submerge the PCB. Usually, the etching process
takes 15-20 minutes
4. Rinse the PCB with water
5. Clean the marking trace
c. Generalization
Ask at least two students regarding what they learned in this
lesson.
"What have you learned in PCB etching? And Why is it
important?"
d. Evaluation
I. Multiple Choice. Choose the best answer.
a. PCB
b. Schematic Diagram
c. Etching
d. Pentel Pen

I. ASSIGNMENT / AGREEMENT
A. Follow-up assignment
1. Research about an application that can be used in designing and etching
the PCB?
B. Advance Assignment:
1. How to make a windows 10 bootable flash drive?
2. What are the tools/applications needed in making a bootable flash drive?
