1. In your understanding, what is the definition of Self? (10pts.)

Your self is your basic personality or nature, especially considered in terms of what
you are really like as a person.

Self is what my character is ,my self define of who I am. What physical features I
have,way of thinking,attitudes define myself ,my individual identity.

2. In your understanding, what is the meaning of Self? (10pts.)

My self is my pure consciousness. Self is my innate understanding. Self is my

primary communication because how can I communicate to others if I can’t
understand myself.

3. Among the philosophers who were tackled in the class, who is your personal pick in
terms of how he give meaning to the self? Relate it to your personal meaning of self.

Maurice Merleau Ponty said the definition of the self is all about one’s perception of
one’s experiences and the interpretation of those experiences. Meaning what I am my
innate self are made through experiences. My understanding are based in my personal
experiences,my awareness that I have in the past are will still the awareness in my
present. My family,environment are part of how my innate self made. What I experience
from my environment shape and made my own perception.

4. Among the philosophers who were tackled in the class, who is your LEAST like in terms
of his idea and explanations regarding the self? Why? (10pts.)

David Hume because ha said Senses are deceiving and there is no self. I think our
senses may be deceiving but we have the ability to think deeper. So we have our own
opinion we have reasonings skills we understand things we just evaluate them. We can
have own decision so we have self .

5. Considering the definitions of Pilosopo discussed, can you consider yourself as

Pilosopo=Philosophers? Considering the meaning of Pilosopo, can you consider yourself
as Pilosopo=Philosophers? Why or why not? (20ts.)

No, I may not be a philosopher but I have my ideal ,self opinion and reasonings behind my
words based on my critical thinking skills.

Living without any realizations and learning is not worth living because we live with
goals,missions ,improvement, goodness, freedom,love and be loved. If you are living for
nothing is like a dull, and meaningless life. Everyday is another day to be better.
Everyday is a chance to be happy and spend the rest of your life with goodness, with
