Shaz Fashion Garments Limited is one of the most successful textile manufacturers in
Bangladesh; a country with great potential in the field of garment-manufacturing. Shaz has
acquired a versatile production chain to cater flexible orders in shorter lead-time. Being an

wear-organizations of Bangladesh. It has arduously re-engineered each step of its value-chain

Our Core Business
Shaz is a fast-growing Woven-wear manufacturer with a vertically-integrated supply chain and a
sales-network in Europe, the United States, Arab countries, and Africa. We also supply locally in
Bangladesh. We have niche capabilities in manufacturing and supplying private label shirts,
hoodies, and Jackets. Also Menswear, Women's wear and Kids wear casual clothing. Value
additions like placement prints, hand work and embroidery work are well within our capability.
Our commitment and performance has earned us an enviable reputation as a trusted partner to
famous brands. We currently employ 400+ workers.

Efficient textiles
Shaz uses the domestic resources of Bangladesh. We use our location to our advantage: not
only does Bangladesh have a huge amount of available water for producing textiles, we also
benefit from factors like less road transport, less water consumption, less pesticide consumption
and less waste water. All these advantages are then combined with our own expertise.

Capacity

Production Capacity : 30,000 units per month.

Quality

Quality starts from raw cotton to the end product. Tests are done at each production stage to
assure the best quality. All parameters are recorded in a computerized tracking, efficiency and
quality system. The in-house lab facility is equipped with the latest equipment to test all
parameters of the fabric.

Workplace Environment
As a responsible apparel producer, Shaz provides employees a work environment high above
the law-required level. Shaz installed and has updated lighting, ventilation and ergonomics of
Its plants use the latest technologies like busbar for electrical fitting, overhead mirror reflectors
for lamps, forced duct ventilation and so on. The goal is to exceed requirements of local
legislation and reach the global standards, and thereby support clients’ images and
sourcing principles.

Clearly demarcated emergency routes & exits, smoke & fire detectors, consciously designed
working lay-outs ensure a safe workplace for workers. As per ISO requirements, instructions
and warning signs are posted in highly visible places, inside the factory and in local language
(Bangla). Moreover, usage of metal gloves in times of fabric cutting, needle guard in time of
sewing and such similar procedures reduces significantly work-related accidents in Shaz.

Besides being safe, Shaz workplace offers a congenial & supporting environment for all:
managerial staff and workers work in mutual cooperation and respect. Shaz consciously puts
effort to empower women not only by just recruiting more women in the workforce, rather by
undertaking some assertive programs to train & promote women in the higher levels.

Safety & Integrity

Shaz strictly adheres to ethical business-practice. It carries out compliance as a continuous
process, and exceeds local legislations to meet ILO convention in terms of employment practice
and safety. Its Compliance Management Team monitors and reviews the various activities
performed throughout the organization. For the safety of its workers, Shaz has improved
workplace conditions; set up noticeable warning signs in the local language; enforced the usage
of safety equipment; and built awareness among the workforce. The work-place has clearly
demarcated emergency exits and equipment.

Besides paying a healthy living wage - much higher than the legal minimum - Shaz supports its
workers by setting up welfare facilities. An adequate canteen; safe drinking water; and hygienic
lavatories, ensure that workers are comfortable with the workplace. Shaz also provides: medical
care; day-care; and transportation to its workers. BASE strongly opposes force-labour,
child-labour, racism, discrimination and exploitation of workers, and makes every possible effort
to discourage such misconducts. It employs individuals solely on the basis of their qualifications.
