Body Image
Body image is what everyone looks at whenever they see themselves in the mirror.

Looking at yourself in the mirror and not feeling good about yourself is just having to live with

that mentality that you aren’t good for someone. They feel like they don’t deserve to be alive.

There have always been problems because they think they aren’t worth it. Sometimes people

bully others because of how they look at their body. Bullying someone won’t resolve others'

problems; they make the situation worse. Criticizing someone because of their eating disorders

will try making them not feel worth it and they will even try to kill themselves. We don’t want to

get up to that point for someone to kill themselves because he or she is getting bullied everyday

constantly. They need to speak up and go up to someone that can help and give advice about

what they are going through. So that they can overcome whatever they are dealing with.

Nevertheless, there are a lot of websites to get information for a rehabilitation center to

go and get help to recover from the disorder or just to get information about what you need in

order to be able to accept how your body really is. There is one that I got but it just tells you

what you can do when you feel down and not feeling good about yourself. However, not only on

a website they can get help, they can also get help from a parent, teacher, counselor, a friend and

a lot more people would be glad to help. They can’t just not get any help for that disorder of

them having to think that they aren’t pretty, that they are fat and ugly having to stop eating just to

have a nice body. They just hurt themselves not eating when they are supposed to in their

corresponding times. People with that mentality can develop an eating disorder either anorexia or

bulimia. Anorexia and bulimia is mostly seen in girls that don’t see their body perfectly. They

may even be skinny and not feel comfortable because they think someone won’t see them as a

good person. What matters for a person is what you transmit to them your feelings and emotions

towards that person.

In addition, people having this disorder take time to recover from it. The website of body

image and national eating disorders can help a person that has developed that disorder. Getting

information on how to overcome it. For example with body image they say that they can even get

depressed. It also says that every body is different. We aren't created with the same height,

weight, and level of intelligence or poorness. Every person is of a different class level but at the

end of the day we all are human beings and need to be treated the same. Going back to what this

website states it also says how to stay positive seeing your body and think that you are worth it

and for someone to value that. It's important to see this and value someone seeing that you matter

to them no matter how you look. There is this other website that talks about body image and self-

esteem. Which it also gives parents, kids, and most importantly teens. It has different topics for

them to know about and understand every single theme that they give in the page. Parents can

know about growth, nutritions, diseases, health and many more. Kids are able to know about

some illnesses, how to stay safe, puberty, health problems, feelings, etc. Teens are able to get

information about the body, drugs, diseases, infections and many many more.

In other words people tend to not get help and forget that there is more people that care

about him or her trying to not give up in something just because they have some people that

won’t help give them advice to something that they really need help in trying to understand that

every human being is different with very different types of body types. That he or she isn’t the

only person having to deal with the same disorder. For them to get more comfortable on the

website they have a part that has some steps to keep yourself positive about your body image. To

do as much as your body can do, keep a list of what you like about yourself, shut down the

voices that keep telling you that your body isn’t good enough, and there is more. There are more

websites that can help to overcome it which I think will help a lot with the person needing help.

Not feeling worth it about themselves. It isn’t nice to feel about someone like that. At the end of

the day we all are humans and have feelings. No matter how we are physically what matters is

the feelings from how someone will react to such compliment or criticism about others that isn’t

nice at all.

To summarize body image talks a lot about yourself. How you interact with others trying

to fit into a group of friends. That can also try to change someone because they would do

whatever they can do to just fit in in the group they want to be in. Also making someone feel

worth it or not feeling good about themselves. Eating disorders and body image can really hurt a

person.
