Abstract
Right now people are really conscious about their looks and personality. They tendto find
ways just to improve their looks. One of the aspects that they wanted to improve is thehair.
Everyone wanted to have the nicest hair anyone could possibly have .There are variety of
products that have been sold in order to get the shiniest, glowing hair, most people want these
days. Because of these attributes the researcher aimed to produce an eco- friendly, affordable,
safe and most of all organic conditioner made out of Coconut milk(Cocos Nucifera) ,Malunggay
leaves (Moringa Oleifera)and Gumamela( Hibiscus).

The study aims to create a product which is organic and also very reliable and safe to use
for people.

The organic conditioner is made out of 50 ml of coconut milk, 50ml of Gumamela oil and
50ml of Malunggay extract. The following experimental set ups had been made: Set up A 10ml
of Coconut milk, 10 ml of Gumamela oil and 10 ml of Malunggay extract. Set up B 15 ml
Coconut milk, 15 ml of Gumamela oil and 15 ml of Malunggay extract. Set up C 20ml Coconut
milk, 20 ml of Gumamela oil and 20 ml of Malunggay extract.

Using the different concentration, the efficiency is tested in a very dry hair for 3 weeks or
equal to 21 days. The test showed that the experimental product and the commercial synthetic
product have garnered the same results base in two factors: first is the silkiness of the product
applied to the hair. The second factor was to determine the overall effect of the conditioner (the
glow of the hair, how shimmery and how the damage has been healed). The results of the
experiment and the data analysis showed that the experimental product is effective like the
commercial synthetic conditioner. Thus, the organic hair treatment conditioner from Coconut
milk, Gumamelaoil and Malunggay extract could be an alternative to commercial synthetic
conditioner.

III. Review of Related Literature/Studies

A. Coconut milk is the liquid that comes from the grated meat of a mature coconut.[1] The
opacity and rich taste of coconut milk are attributed to its high oil content, most of which
is saturated fat. Coconut milk is a popular food ingredient used in Southeast Asia, South
Asia, the Caribbean, and northern South America

Coconut oil is very popular and frequently preferred as hair oil worldwide. Before you
start using this oil for its many benefits, perhaps you should find out what makes it so
special, and why millions of people choose to use it.

Many people living in coastal areas of the world, more specifically in the areas where
coconuts grow in abundance, know that the sweet smelling coconut oil is their one and
only hair oil. These are areas like the Indian Subcontinent, Sri Lanka, Indonesia,
Malaysia, Burma, Philippines, and parts of the Caribbean.

Coconut oil is rich in carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals which are good for the
human body. However, coconut oil usage is not limited to hair; it is used in the
preparation of cosmetic soaps and creams, and in Asian countries, it is also used for
preparing various kind of foods and salads.

It has been in use as hair oil for thousands of years, and it has shown remarkable results
in hair growth since ages. Certain components in it keep the hair strong, nourished and
protected from the effects of premature aging, like baldness and excessive hair loss. Let’s
see what some of those benefits to hair are, and what components of coconut oil are
responsible!

Hair Conditioning

Coconut oil is a better conditioner for hair than any synthetic one available in the market. Use of
warm coconut oil helps in keeping hair shimmering and soft. Apply some warm oil at night and
wash your hair the next morning. This can be repeated every few days for healthy, strong, and
conditioned hair.

maintenance. Optimum delivery of oxygen and nutrients from the circulatory system to the hair
follicle is vital for proper hair growth. Vitamin A plays an important role in the development of
healthy cells and tissues in the body and reduction of hair loss. Deficiency of vitamin A can
cause thickening of scalp, dry hair and dandruff.

19. Moringa plant also contains zinc which stimulates hair growth by enhancing the immune
function. Zinc and silica along with vitamin A prevents drying and clogging of the sebaceous
glands. Sebaceous glands are responsible for production of sebum. Deficiency of zinc can lead to
atrophy of the hair follicles due to the impairment of DNA and protein synthesis. Zinc also
influences the conformation of nucleic acids.

20. Vitamin E in moringa is a powerful antioxidant that stimulates blood circulation around the
scalp. Proper flow of blood to the scalp helps in the absorption of more nutrients available in the
hair follicles.

Interpretation:
To find the best concentration of Coconut Milk, Malunggay Extract and Gumamela
Flower Extract the researcher used the Analysis of Variance ( ANOVA).This analysis tells the
significant difference of variance in each concentration. In Data 1 ( Silkiness of the Hair) it has
been stated that the p value is 0.0126. The result implied that the null hypothesis is false thus the
data collected is effective and accepted . In Data 2 (the glow of the hair, how shimmery and how
the damage has been healed) it has been stated that the p value is 0.0001.The result implied that
the null hypothesis is false thus the data collected is effective and accepted.

In the line graph in Data 1, Set up C which has 20 ml of each concentration ( 20ml of
Coconut Milk, 20ml of Malunggay Extract, 20 ml of Gumamela Extract ) and Set up D
(Commercial Synthetic Hair Conditioner) came up with the same result . In Data 2 ,Set up C
which has 20 ml of each concentration ( 20ml of Coconut Milk, 20ml of Malunggay Extract, 20
ml of Gumamela Flower Extract ) and Set up D ( Commercial Synthetic Hair Conditioner) again
came up with the same result.

Based on the results the concentration that will give the best results would be Set up C with 20ml
Coconut milk, 20 ml of Gumamela oil and 20 ml of Malunggay extract. It is expected that Set Up
C will yield the best result because it contains a lot of the concentration of the ingredients
compared to the Set up A and B. For Set up A, It is not that effective in a way that the
concentration is not enough to fix a damaged hair. As for Set up B, It is quite moderately
effective but still not enough to completely heal a damaged hair. In making the product the
procedure must be followed correctly to come up with the expected results.

There were 10 respondents who applied the organic hair treatment and conditioner for 21 days or
3 weeks. The feedbacks were based in a 1-10 scale. In terms of silkiness of the hair 8 people rate
it 8 (Completely Silky) and 2 people rate it 7 (Moderately Silky). Then for the next bases which
is the overall effect of the conditioner ( the glow of the hair, how shimmery and how the
damage has been healed) 9 people rate it 8 ( Completely Effective) and 1 person rate it 7
( Moderately Effective) . And for the comparison between the commercial synthetic conditioner (
Cream Silk) and the Organic Hair Treatment and Conditioner ( Set up C) 9 people voted that the
organic hair treatment and conditioner from Coconut milk , Malunggay Leaves Extract,
Gumamela Flower Extract can be an alternative to commercial synthetic conditioner ( Cream
Silk) in terms of effectiveness.

VI.Conclusion
Therefore ,the researcher concluded that the hair treatment conditioner coming
from Coconut Milk ( Cocos Nucifera) Malunggay Leaves Extract ( Moringa Oleifera)
Gumamela Flower Extract ( Hibiscus)can really be an Organic, eco-friendly Conditioner. The
test showed the result that the experimental set up and the commercial product has the same
result in terms of silkiness and the overall result (the glow of the hair, how shimmery and how
the damage has been healed) .The results of the experimentation, Data, Graph analysis showed
that the experimental set up/product is effective just like commercial conditioner. It was further
proven by the use of ANOVA ( Analysis of Variance). The Data 1 has a p value of 0.0126 and
Data 2 has a p value of 0.0001. The result implied that the null hypothesis is false thus the data
collected is effective and accepted. Thus, the organic hair treatment conditioner fromCoconut
milk, Malunggay leaves Extract and Gumamela Flower Extract could be an alternative to
synthetic commercial conditioner.

VII. Recommendations
This study still needs additional improvement as what the researcher found out. So for
those who have wanted to conduct a more related /relative study, you may use this following
suggestion as a guide:

* Add ingredients that would enhance the colour of the experimental product.

*Find more materials that can be add on to the product that is much more applicable and
affordable.

*Try another method in making the product to enhance its efficiency

* Add also ingredients that could enhance the scent of the product.

* Adjust the measurement of the ingredients to create a much better product.

* Find a much more appealing container.

*Find a catchy name for it.
