Instruction to the Students
Cell Phones and other Electronic Communication Devices: Cell phones and other electronic
communication devices (such as Blackberries/Laptops) are not permitted in classes during
Tests or the Sessional/Final Examination. Such devices MUST be turned off in the class
room.
E-Mail and ERP: Each student in the class should have an e-mail id and a pass word to
access the ERP system regularly. Regularly, important information – Date of conducting class
tests, guest lectures, via ERP. The best way to arrange meetings with us or ask specific
questions is by email and prior appointment. All the assignments preferably should be
uploaded on ERP. Various research papers/reference material will be mailed/uploaded on
ERP time to time
Attendance: Students are required to have minimum attendance of 75% in each subject.
Students with less than said percentage shall NOT be allowed to appear in the end semester
examination.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FACULTY
Prepare lecture class well before the actual delivery.
Scanned syllabus copy.
2. Class should start and conclude on time.
3. Do not use mobile phones during class in progress.
4. Use G5 connect app to mark the class attendance, wherever possible.
5. Upload the attendance everyday preferably immediate after the class.
6. Faculty should enforce the University dress code among students
7. Faculty should encourage the students for Classroom participation and to ask doubts.
8. Provide study materials to the students’ unit wise or topic wise
9. Faculty should strictly adhere to the planned academic activities, related to their course.
10. It is expected from faculty to evaluate the assignments seriously.
11. Maintain the academic records in the format provided by office of DAA.
12. Lab sessions must be conducted in true sense and calculation/ lab files should be checked
regularly.
13. Copy of Assignments, notes, Lab manual etc. should be shared in soft copy with the students
preferably through ERP.
14. Faculty members are expected to maintain the lab equipment serviceability and its readiness.
15. The instructions for the laboratory conduct, do’s and don’t etc. should be displayed prominently
in the lab.
16. Syllabus coverage should be as per lecture plan.
17. Project based learning should be encouraged by faculty members.
18. Faculty should keep track of the students with low attendance and counsel them regularly.
19. HoDs/PCs will arrange to communicate the short attendance (as per policy) cases to the students
and their parents monthly.
20. Internal assessment marks should be communicated to the students twice in a semester.
21. The course file will be audited by respective Academic Monitoring and Planning Committee
(APMC) members for theory as well as for lab as per the schedule.
