6.4 Manpower
The actual manpower of each type of installation may vary according to the site
condition and requirement.

All workers shall wear appropriate PPE (Hard Hat, Protective Boots, Goggles,
High Visibility Vest and Protective Gloves) and safety harness when working
above 2 meter in height.

7.0 INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

7.1 General Guidelines
7.1.1 Preparation Planning Stage
 Secure all necessary design information and prepare all the
necessary designed drawings.
 Submission of design drawings for approval.
 Prepare all necessary shop drawings and determine the actual
position to commence installation with the mobilization of
required work force, tools and equipment.
 Prepare all documents required in specification submittals and all
documents/certification required in Specification.
 Prepare material approval document, complete with confirmation
of conformance between delivered material with approved
material (code/model/type, length, weight, width, materials,
quantity, etc).
 Prepare confirmation of conformance between temporary storage
and vendor storage requirement/standard.
 Prepare confirmation of conformance between tools and its
calibration meet vendor requirement/standard.
 Ensure all approval required to perform work are obtained and
conform with approved documents by consultant engineers and
architect.
7.2 Installation Stage

7.2.1 Material Handling & Storage at Site

 All materials received at site shall be inspected by contractor &
consultant.
 All material must be handled and stored upon receipt in accordance
with the approved project quality plan.
 All received materials shall be checked for conformance with approval
by store controller or project engineer prior of installation work.
 During transportation filtration system equipment must be handled
with care.
 Do not drop or drag material especially on hard surfaces.

7.2.2 Filtration System Installation

 Observe all applicable installation regulations, general guidelines and
technical specifications.
 Mark out the location of the plinths for the pumps and filtration
system unit as per approved shop drawings and cast the plinths in
place up to the required thickness.
 Fix the interconnected pipework between the pumps, filters and the
suction and delivery lines as per the approved drawings.
 Route and level shall be as per the approved drawing and clearance to
be maintained as required.
 The floor of the installation site must have a sufficient load-bearing
capacity if the unit is to be installed on the floor.
 Install the concentrate/liquid dosing units consist of a contact water
meter with pulser and screw connections or flanges from type P30.
 Install A relief valve with ventilation and backflow preventer (filling
relief valve) with filling hose to fill the dosing container and seeding
point are integrated into the contact water meter of type P 20.

 Install the filling relief valve and seeding point must be into the pipe
before and after the contact water meter respectively with a sleeve
socket (not provided). The seeding point is connected to the dosing
pump via the pressure/dosing pipe.
 Attach the Dosing Pump to an electronically controlled dosing
container with operating/measurement frequency display and empty
indication display and auto shut-off device when unit is empty (dry
running protection).
 The seeding point must be installed in such a way that the outlet
opening of the hose rubber seal is in the zone flowed through of the
pipe.
 Install An R 1/2" threaded sleeve with welded into the pipe on the
inlet and outlet of the water meter, when using conventional fittings,
an R 1/2" threaded connection must be available.
 Connect to the sewage system for flushing water nearby. Flushing
water hoses must be attached to the sewage connection with a safety
spacing of at least twice the interior diameter of the flushing water
hose or min.
 Support spacing to be executed as per the approved drawing and site
condition. Spacing between others services shall be coordinated on
the site.
 Install cable tray/trunking with enough space to permit access for
installing cables. Install the cable tray/trunking with proper alignment
with other services.
 Install the control panel & terminate the cables at the control panel as
well as the equipment and pumps.
 After all equipment filtration has been installed, follow up to call the
technician to check and carry out inspections together with the
consultant.
