DANAO ADVENTURE PARK
Danao Adventure Park is an eco-tourism destination set up by the Municipality of Danao, Bohol to
maximize the town's beautiful landscape. This LGU facility boasts a sprawling nature park that used to
be the base camp of the loved Boholano Hero Francisco Dagohoy, who led the longest Philippine
Revolutionary Movement.
Danao Adventure Park is a known adventure destination in Bohol. The park is an attractive spot for
tourists who loves to have an adventure activity. Danao Adventure Park is officially known as Extreme
Adventure Tour destination in Central Visayas. One interesting fact it that the huge nature park used to
be the base camp of revered Boholano Hero Francisco Dagohoy who led the longest revolutionary
movement in Philippine History against the Spaniards.
The Adventure park provides an entire package based on the concepts of ecotourism. You will truly feel
safe because their equipments are not substandard and their staffs are also well trained with years of
experience. Since Danao Adventure Park is located beautifully in the middle of mountain ranges, with
the beautiful Wahig River flowing across the park, it became one of the countries premier zipline
destination. The adventure park opens daily from 8 am to 4 pm only. Aside from their adrenalin
pumping activities, they also have a great location for sightseeing, kayaking and bird watching.
ACTIVITIES THAT YOU CAN DO IN DANAO ADVENTURE PARK
Danao Adventure Park also offer adventurous activities like river trekking, wall climbing, off road buggy,
sky ride, cliff rappelling, village tour, rock climbing, root climbing and suislide. Tourists who prefer
strenuous activities can take part in Suislide; one of the important activities is conducted from the
highest zip line in the country. Travelers can enjoy zipping and have their own pictures, of committing
suislide. The unique feature of this park is an area known by name “plunge” – a bungee jumping area
with a great view of Wahig river.
More than leisure and picnic, the adventure journeys are designed to make the traveler aware of
preserving the natural resources, scenic beauties, and cultural heritage. Organic farm visit, tracking
Dagahoy Hill, and cave exploration are some of the attractions in the park. Activities in Danao Adventure
Park are focused on forest preservation, ecosystem and water sheds etc. Kamaria, a cave with an
octagonal entrance, leads to a pool where people can also swim and relax.
Travelers also have an option of having a night camp or you can book an air conditioned / fan rooms
from them. All the rooms have attached bathroom and breakfast is provided for the guests. Travelers
have to reserve rooms in advance as there are only limited rooms. Tents are the most suitable option for
those who want to explore the thrilling features of the adventure park.
E.A.T. Danao is a tourism concept set up to benefit the municipality of Danao and its people. With these
ecotourism concept, locals are taking part in the environment preservation because this is also the
source of their income. Danao used to be the poorest town in the province of Bohol but after the town
became one of the most popular eco-tourism destination in the country, Danao became one of the most
progressive towns in Western Visayas.
Travelers can reach this spot from the nearest city Cebu by fast ferry service to Tubigon, Bohol. From
Tubigon, it is a one and half hour journey through road. Danao is 72 kilometers from the provincial
capital Tagbilaran city. Public transportation is available from Tagbilaran city round the clock.
