VIRTUAL CAREER FAIR OFFERS PATHS FOR UNDERGRADUATES

Szabist Karachi successfully conducts its virtual career fair 2021

Karachi, November 24, 2021: The Executive Development Center (EDC) of Szabist Karachi
conducted a successful virtual career fair from the 100 Clifton campus today, that enabled
students to pursue their potential career paths. Prospective students met online with hiring
managers of around 70 well reputed national and multinational firms, to become more familiar
with career opportunities, apply for job vacancies and also engage in some online interviews.
Szabist’s Vice Chancellor who is also the incumbent health minister of Sindh Dr. Azra Fazal
Pechuho joined virtually to the event followed with Muhammad Baksh Mahar, Education
Secretary Sindh. Reputable and prominent firms that attended the event virtually were General
Tyers, Ad com, Unilever, Continental Biscuits, Al Karam Textile Mills Limited, Maersk Pakistan,
Procter & Gamble, Aga Khan University and United Bank Limited (UBL).
Speaking on the virtual opening occasion Azra Fazal Pechuho, Vice Chancellor Szabist said
“The job industry isn’t fair. It does not owe anybody a career. It’s just about devotion, luck,
determination and being professionals. Although the employment rate receded this year due to
the emergence of this pandemic. Szabist Karachi strives to offer programs with a highly
experienced faculty and quality virtual learning to ensure that our undergraduate students ace in
developing skills, personalities and key concepts that will help them find a career that’s fulfilling
and rewarding.”
The event was virtually organized from the auditorium of the 100 Clifton campus where all the
recruitment teams were present in interacting with the students. The atmosphere of the event
was highly energetic and charged with various recruitment activities online including CV
screening, career/ CV advice, hiring for diverse trainee programs, projects, internships and
brand ambassadorship. Farooq Leghari, hiring manager for Continental Biscuits said “We are
glad to be a part of this virtual fair and we look to poach the best cream out of the institute’s
talent pool for our organization”.
