REQUIREMENTS FOR THE 2021 DIET OF THE

ONLINE DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES
BY THE DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY OF IKOYI BAPTIST CHURCH

Given the continued realities around physical gathering in churches, and the need to ensure that the church retains the
best protocols of safe gathering for all church activities, our coming April 2021 Diet of the Ikoyi Baptist Church
Discipleship Classes will again be conducted virtually. And as stated in the last diet, which was also virtual, this will
have certain implications for how the classes are conducted.

In this light, we have developed the following requirements for each participant to fulfill in order to be a part of the
virtual class setting, and to effectively maximize the value each class offers.
DEVICES
You are expected to have and be comfortable using the
following devices for effective participation in the classes:
1. A computer (a laptop or desktop computer) with
the latest software update.
2. A smart mobile phone (Android or iPhone)
running the latest software update.
3. A camera connected to your computer or mobile
phone as classes will require your video is
turned on.
4. An internet dongle, router, or active data
subscription.
SOFTWARE
In order to log into the class sessions, you are expected to
have any of the following software on any of your de-
vices:
1. Zoom Cloud Meetings App.
2. An active email app for receiving emails.
3. A calendar app connected to your email (optional).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1. A minimum of 700 MB data availability for the 2-
hour class session each week.
2. A computer or phone alarm to remind you of class
log in time.
As we commence our 2021 Discipleship Program on the
26th of April 2021, all our programs: FOLLOW THE
MASTER, SERVE THE MASTER, MIND OF CHRIST
AND EXPERIENCING GOD that hitherto ran for 13
weeks will now run for 32 weeks. The details of the new
32 weeks program vis -a -vis what they entail will be ex-
plained to you by your course Coordinator at the start of
the diet on the 26th April 2021.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
1. Be mindful of your appearance during video meet-
ings.
2. Set aside a dedicated work area in the house and test
for connectivity before each meeting.
3. Be mindful of background noise that can hinder other
participants from hearing you clearly and position
your camera properly for better viewing.
4. Video MUST be turned on throughout the duration
of class session. Anything to the contrary would re-
quire the Program Coordinator's approval and it
would be dealt with on the basis of its own merit.
5. Sent with these guidelines is the Zoom link for the
opening ceremony on Monday the 26th of April
2021, please join in at 7pm prompt.
