Guide for cultivation from @cope

So basically in my own experiences setting up a private server and actually using it is hard, so
I’ll write down all my knowledge, maybe it will help someone.
First of all: use ctrl+f to search in support channels. There is a 100% chance that your
problem is already asked and fixed by someone. You can save a lot of time by doing it.
(shoutout for @Thoronium for answering the same questions all day and helping everyone)
And now to the step by step guide:
1. Download cultivation.
2. Create a clean folder and extract it.
3. Start cultivation.exe with administrator privileges.
4. Inside cultivation head over to the little download icon and download “Latest
Grasscutter” “Latest Grasscutter data” and “Grasscutter resources”
5. If it shows extracting after a long time, don’t worry it is just a visual bug.
6. Now head over to Cultivation settings, and set your game path. (Genshinimpact.exe)
The default location is " C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact game\
GenshinImpact.exe"
7. Check the boxes “Automatically Patch Metadata” and “Use Internal Proxy”
8. Set your grasscutter JAR. It is located in your grasscutter folder. (%appdata%\
cultivation\grasscutter)
9. For the easier launch, check “Launch Grasscutter With Game”
10. For your private server to work, you need java 17.
(https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#jdk17-windows) Once you
downloaded, (or you already had it) set your java.exe path inside Cultivation settings.
Usually it is located in " C:\Program Files\Java “
11. Another essential program is MongoDb. You can download it here:
12. If you want to edit your data in MongoDb, download MongoDb compass too, it might
come in handy later. (https://www.mongodb.com/try/download/compass)
13. And now, everything should be fine. Hit the little server icon on the right side of the
launch button, and wait for your server to set up.
14. Now create an account for you to play, using the (account create <username>)
command. You can close the server for now.
15. And the last step, hit launch. On login. use the username you set for yourself, and type
anything for password. When in game, use the chat function to add the server as your
friend, and use commands.

The problems I encountered and the fixes:

1) Error 4214: Your metadata is not patched. Ask for the latest one from support and
place It in your genshin metadata folder. Make a copy of your official metadata,
and change it back if you want to play on official servers.
2) System Error, Try again later: Check if https is turned off, and in Cultivation
setting encryption is disabled. Restart the server and try again.

Model changing with cultivation (Tweaked mode) :

1) Press the hidden question mark 3 times located in the middle of the top row of the
Cultivation app. Now some new functions are available.
2) Download 3dMigoto and set the executeable inside the Cultivation app settings. Now
you can manage your downloaded models inside of Cultivation, using the little icon
top right.
3) If you want, you can play with Akebi (mod menu) too, you can download it and set
the injector.exe inside the Cultivation setting. In my experiences you cant play with
both of them, only one of them at a time.
4) Now press the plus icon next to the launch button, check Akebi or 3dMigoto, and
press launch. Now your game starts with one of them.

Creating commands with grasscutter tools:

Most of the commands that you need, are inside of the GM-handbook but
sometimes you need more complicated commands (for example: artifacts)
1) First download grasscutter tools.
v1.6.6)
2) If you get a prompt about dangerous file, just hit keep anyway, it isn’t a virus.
3) If you need to, change your language to english.
4) Most of the menu options are self-explaining but creating artifacts might be
harder so I’ll explain that:
5) Artifacts
6) Choose your artifact type, part, level, and stars.
7) Now choose a main stat.
8) After that choose one substat, and next to that a value. (like atk% and 100%)
9) The little box on the right side (automatically is set to 1) is a multiplier, so for
example you want 200% of atk% but cant choose it in values, choose 100% and set
the multiplier to 2.
10) Now press add. Your should see your chosen artifact in the white box under.
11) Now you can choose a second substat, value and multiplier. After that press add
again.
12) You can create as many substats as you want. (if I know it right)
13) After you are done creating your artifact, copy the code from the bottom of the
application and paste it into your game.
14) You can enable the “auto” button next to the “copy” button so you don’t have to
copy the code manually, after you are finished just press ctrl+v inside your game.

If you have any questions still, ask support, or even me, if I can I’ll help. Enjoy your
time playing grasscutter, and I hope I could help.
