HISTORY OF INSTAGRAM

Instagram was first developed in San Francisco, United States by the startup company Burbn,
Inc from CEO Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. The first version of Instagram is Burbn
which can only be used on iPhone devices. At first, the Burbn version had too many features,
eventually Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger began to focus on features for sharing photos,
comments, and liking.

In 2012, Facebook officially acquired Instagram for $1 million in cash and stock. Some time
later, Instagram was released for Android devices. And has been downloaded more than 1
million times in less than 1 day. November 2012, Instagram released in the form of a web app
so that users can access it via a desktop browser even though the features are limited.

In March 2014, Instagram released Geotagging which allows users to add locations to photos.
This feature can be used in real-time and precisely when the user activates the GPS on the
smartphone. But the current development of Instagram has allowed users to add photo

Twitter was first used as an internal service for Odeo employees, and the full version was
released to the public on July 15, 2006. In October 2006, Biz Stone, Evan Williams, Dorsey,
and the rest of Odeo's staff formed a new company, acquiring Odeo and all of its assets –
including Odeo.com and Twitter.com – from investors and shareholders. Furthermore, Twitter
was officially introduced in San Francisco on April 19, 2007 with the mission to provide
opportunities for everyone to be able to create and share information directly and seamlessly.
