Positive Emotions
This week, the instructor taught us about positive emotions. I learned three positive
emotions important to spend a happy life such as mindfulness, gratitude, and optimism for the
present, past, and future respectively. Also, I learned about Broaden and Build Theory of positive
emotions and happiness in which Barbara Frederickson argues that when someone experiences
positive emotions such as joy, love, gratitude, it helps in broadening the mind to positivity and
innovations that build the well-being. My question is how one can encourage the person with
negative emotions to welcome positive emotions for well-being and happiness? My thoughts and
feelings have changed positively after this week's lecture and my peer and instructor helped me a
lot in this because I always get stressed and feel the anxiety that leads towards negative emotions
but with his week lesson I understand the importance of positive emotions and trying to
invigorate them in me. The lecture is related to my own life experience because it has shown real
my life has given me happiness as well as well-being. This week I chose to practice positive
emotions by writing three good things about my past, present, and future. The good memories
and my optimistic thoughts for the future have played a vital role in ensuring positive emotions
as well as well-being. I completed the practice and felt a positive change in my personality and
my families also observe this change in me. Therefore, I plan to continue his practice in the

Engagement
This week I have learned the importance of engagement and its definition given by Seligman I
2012 that it is the investment of character strengths and skills against a difficult task or
challenging situation. I learned about the theory of flow explained by Dr. Milhay Milhay
Csikszentmihalvi in 2013 in which it has been argued that consistency in work is more important

as compared to the results. My question is how many times should a person give try to any
challenge to complete? Because sometimes it becomes hectic to repeat or struggle for the same
thing. After understanding what I have learned this week, I have experienced a positive change
in my thoughts, emotions, and behavior. My instructor and peer also changed my behavior
positively such as I have become more focused and consistent with my tasks. The lecture is
linked with my own life experience because I have observed that ensuring consistency in any
task gives more happiness instead of leaving it incomplete. This week I plan to practice 'flow
theory' because I have inspired a lot from this lesson. To practice flow, I chose to engage myself
in yoga because I was fond of practicing it in past but due to hectic routine, I left this practice
and now I was bad in meditation and poses of yoga. I made a plan to take it as my challenge and
ensure full focus in its completion. I completed it fully and my mother observes a positive
change in my personality as I become more punctual and believing o the flow of work.

Relationships
and Dr. Robert, people who possess good relationships enjoy good health, longer
life, and happiness. I learned that to understand the relationships and their demands
5
it is essential to understand the concept of emotional intelligence because it is a
way to know how one wants to be treated and it has elaborated by Dr. Goleman.
Moreover, this week I have learned about the concept of empathy and sympathy as
well as their importance for building and maintain good relationships. My question
is how one can maintain a good relationship with those who cheated several times?
person and never compromise on my ego but my peer and instructor changed my
behavior with their advice and cooperation. The lecture is related to my own life
my life. This week I chose the practice of active listening because I believe that it
helps to ensure a good relationship. It gives others the view that you respect them
and happy with them as well as giving =your best to have a good relationship. I
practice it fully by leaving all my unnecessary things aside and focusing on what
people associated with me is talking with me. My family and friends observe this

Meaning
This week I have learned about the significance of meaningful life and came to know
about the different ways through which one can achieve the meaning including religion, politics,
and social cause. However, according to Dr. Roy four factors are essential for meaning such as
efficacy, values, purpose, and self-worth. Moreover, I learned about Ikigai which defines four
dimensions or reasons for being such as interest and hobbies, roles, responsibilities, and core
values of a person. My question from this week's lecture is why a person should follow his
interests or hobbies and not try new things to have a meaningful life? My thoughts and emotions
have influenced positively with this week's lecture and my teacher and friends also helped me a
lot with their favorable behavior. I have started to focus on the meaning of my life more to have
a successful and happy life. The lecture shows strong connectivity with m own life experience
because I have observed that when I struggle for something having positive purpose and meaning
I always feel between, positive, happy, and satisfying as compared to the time when I do
something without any good and meaningful purpose. This week I plan to practice the Ikigai
concept by answering the questions asked from myself given in class for this week's practice. I

completed the practice and feel a positive change in my personality. So, I plan to ask myself
My interests and hobbies include reading, drawing, and playing different games that are
in-door.
I like to learn and read about historical heroes because it gives me the power to work
hard.
I appreciate truth and honesty and my most presence remained in reading the history

Accomplishment
This week the instructor taught us about the accomplishment in which I learned its definition and
importance in life to remain happy and healthy. So, what does it mean? It means that one can
achieve the goals by mastery, competency, and success. Seligman in 2012 said that people who
have some direction to follow are happier and successful because they achieve and accomplish
their goals successfully as compared to directionless people. Besides, Dr. Angela Duckworth has
given the concept of grit that plays an important role in achieving the goal and it can be
developed by everyone. The only requirements are to follow interest, practice, purpose, and
hope. Moreover, I learned that people with a growth mindset learn and achieve more as compare
to a fixed mindset because they have the ability to adapt and accept several changes and react
accordingly. My question is how one can achieve success and accomplish goals with a fixed
mindset? Is it possible or not? My thoughts and feelings have influenced positively after this
week's lecture because I have become more focused and trying to ensure a growth mindset
because accepting changes help to achieve success in life. In this regard, my instructor and
professor also encouraged me a lot. The lecture is related to my own life experience because I
have observed a positive change in my personality and observed that whenever I do some task
with a growth mindset I accomplish it more easily because I define my direction and mold my
plans according to the situations. I chose to practice goal visualization and then work on it for
accomplishment. For this, I picked up a story-book of 25 pages and plan to complete it in one
week and make notes as well. I completed the practice effectively and my instructor observes a
change in my attitude towards my study by this goal visualization strategy. Therefore I plan to

This week I learned how physical health and happiness are associated and interlinked. It means
a person with good health is a happy and happy person who enjoys well-being. Seligman has
defined three types of health such as biological, functional, and subjective and in these health
functionals is related to the exercise while subjective health talks about optimism and to counter
the stress and anxiety or other mental health disorders. Also, I learned about the Okinawa Island
people known as Blue Zone people. The reason that they are famous is their good physical health
and even at the age of 90 above they are active. It is because of their healthy moving routine.
Furthermore, I learned that people with happiness deal with pain and aches, disabilities, and
other health disorders. I want to comment on the people of Okinawa Island they are spending a
brilliant life and everyone must follow their diet and daily routines. My thoughts and feelings

have inspired positively by knowing about Blue Zone people and I have changed my behavior
positively. Besides, my teacher and friends also helped me with their support. The lesson is
related to my own life experience because I have observed that my bad eating habits and laziness
cause serious health issues such as eating sugar and using coffee a lot. Moreover, my habits
include sleeping late night and it is also influenced by my bad eating habits. This week I have
planned to practice good eating habits for which I make a diet chart and completed my practice
fully. My mother observed a change in e and appreciated me as well. Therefore, I plan to practice
