as a Technologist in Southfield, MI.  In this position you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging
environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: “Improving Health, Improving Lives”.

The work schedule for this position will be : Monday - Thursday 10:30pm - 7:00am and rotating weekends.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria

Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating
Procedures
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls Join us in harnessing
Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care science for human good.
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary L a b co r p i s a l e adi n g gl ob al l i fe

Assist with processing of specimens when needed

Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment h o s p it al s , ph ar m ace u t i cal

Requirements:

Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local d ecis i on s . Th r ou gh ou r u n par al l e l e d
regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements d ia g nos t i cs an d dr u g de ve l opm e n t
ca p a b i l i t i e s , we pr ovi de i n s i gh t s
Previous Generalist experience including Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis, Bloodbank
a n d a cce l e r at e i n n ovat i on s t o
ASCP or AMT certification is preferred im p r o ve h e al t h an d i m pr ove l i ve s .
Ability to work independently and within a team environment H er e, you can joi n ou r m or e t h an
Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus 7 5 ,0 00 e m pl oye e s , s e r vi n g cl i e n t s i n
High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills m o r e t h an 100 cou n t r i e s , as we

Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
ca r e.  
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
