Based on the instructor’s 16 years of work experience as vibration engineer in Power

Station (2 x 500 MW units, NTPC) and LNG Production Plant (Qatargas - World’s
largest LNG Producer), the need for educating Operation, Maintenance and Project
Engineers on the importance of understanding plant rotating equipment vibration
behavior from their respective work areas is recognized.

▪ It is observed that most of the Operation, Maintenance

& Project engineers lack the basic information on
machinery vibration monitoring, analysis, and
vibration behaviour of any rotating equipment in
relation to the operation and maintenance practices.

▪ Further, absence of proper knowledge in selection of

appropriate vibration protection and monitoring
systems as well as installation leads to unnecessary
problems.

▪ This program is designed to bridge the above-

mentioned gaps by providing a solid understanding of
the fundamental of vibration monitoring and analysis.

Highlights of this program

▪ The program shall be “Online” through a internet

standard mode, using power point slides.

▪ Duration of the program shall be about 6 hours per day.

Course Instructor
Subba Rao Ganti

A Category IV Vibration Analyst (2008-certified by

Vibration Institute, USA) and has 35 years of work
experience out of which 30 years exclusively in
Rotating Equipment Vibration Analysis, Training &
Troubleshooting in Oil & Gas, Power and
Petrochemical Industries. He has a B.Tech
(Mechanical -1983) Degree from JNT University,
Hyderabad, India.

Has served in reputed organizations like NTPC, L&T, Masibus in India;

GE (Bently Nevada) and Qatargas in the Middle East.

A member of the Vibration Institute, USA since 1998 and presented

case studies at IMVAC – Dubai (2017) and BINDT CM-2019 held at
Glasgow, UK, ICCM 2021 – TATA Steel in Jan 2021 and ATPS 2021 –
Malaysi in February 2021.

In India, trained about 800 Engineers of Operation & Maintenance

Departments of NTPC, IOCL, IPCL, KRIBHCO, NFCL, RIL etc. in Basics of
Vibration Analysis and about 200 Engineers in Middle East (UAE, QATAR,
KUWAIT) in Bently Nevada’s Machinery Vibration Analysis Course.

Instruction for two batches of Cat III Certification of Mobius Institute

was successfully completed during Nov 2020 and March 2021.

Presently he is a freelance trainer and consultant in Machinery

Vibration Analysis and authorized instructor, for Category I to IV
Training courses of Mobius Institute, Australia.
