Ethical Issues in conducting research and ways to address them

The advantages and hazards of procedures for both participants and researchers must be weighed. As a
result, we, as researchers need to make judgments about how we have to research in such a manner
that the development is as ethical as possible within the project boundaries, while also taking into
account time. Influence as a consequence of a power connection between a teacher or professor and
their students requires careful analysis and investigation, particularly when the professor or teaching
assistant is also a researcher who wants their students to participate in their research. Individuals being
recruited may feel compelled to obey the wishes of others who have some sort of authority over them,
hence the impact of power relationships on voluntariness of consent should be examined from the
perspective of prospective participants. When consent is gained by someone in a position of power or
control over them, most individuals do not believe their decision to engage in research is voluntary.
Furthermore, because students are a captive audience, they may feel a real or perceived pressure to
engage in research, particularly if it is performed during class time. Students must not be unfairly
disadvantaged in any manner as a result of participating in the study, as doing so implies a penalty for
those who do not. We have to be informed of the rules and regulations that govern our job at all times
and ensure our implementation to those rules and regulations. We also have to ensure that any
potential damage is minimized, and that the advantages to both participants and others are maximized
especially when asking students to various college students. This implies that we shouldn't subject
people to any more exams than are absolutely necessary to achieve their research goals as human
rights, particularly the right to privacy and individuality, should always be respected. We must disclose
their study honestly, including our methodology (what we conducted), data, and outcomes, as well as
whether or not we have previously published any of it. We should not fabricate any data, including
extrapolating unduly from some of our findings, or engage in any behavior that may be perceived as an
attempt to deceive others. It's preferable to undersell rather than oversell our findings. When dealing
with others, we must always follow through on any commitments made and act honestly. Budgeting is
critical in any research project since it may sometimes forecast the extent of inquiry. It's usually a good
idea to think about how much money we have to contribute to the research. Budgeting encompasses
not just available funds, but also the desire to set aside resources to allow for the conduct of research
and the dissemination of research results. The right selection of personnel necessary to gather from, or
the selection of research assistants to help in the data collecting process, is part of the research
management process of staffing.
