Summary of Findings with Psychodynamics:

Dependence, or clinging behavior rooted into the subject’s history of past life is one of
the precipitating factors for the development of disorder. He was noted that his father was killed
by his own grandfather when he was six-years old due to land dispute with a gunshot in Naga
City, Isabela. His father viewed as strong and brave man because he is a black belter of
taekwondo. As a result, the subject’s unresolved wishes and needs gratified through his
mother’s nurture, care, and support. Crisis arises during late childhood which involves traumatic
experience as he grew older and as of know, his mother always tell to him that do not pent-up
anger to his grandfather. His mother made use of compensation in exchange for frustration,
failures, or events that are unpleasant and intolerable by giving support, motivation, and love for
her son. As a result, the childhood life of subject placed too much reliance to his mother.
Anxiety occurs when his mother was separated to him and when his father was ceased.
To substantiate their needs, his mother was worked as a government employee so she has no
time to accompany his son to school. He was crying and develops tantrums whenever his
mother leaves him. During a special occasion, like Father’s Day he becomes anxious that he
has no father to greet and gave thanks. He sees children greeting their father and celebrates
this special day. To temporarily alleviate his anxiety, he fantasized that someday he would have
a father. Displacement for need of dependency by engaging into relationship is the way to break
off anxiety. His long-time girlfriend which lasted for almost two-years but when she decided to
end their relationship, it was excruciating experience in which he likes to gone on earth. He
urgently seeks another source of care and support because of being fear of being unable to
care for him.
Tension develops during the land dispute between his father and grandfather. Harsh
words and unpleasant conversation between them affected the subject’s way of expressing his
emotions. His mother advices to him that do not listen to them to avoid get into trouble. The
subjects isolate his aggression to avoid negative actions that will result into displeasing
behavior. Tension reoccurs when his former girlfriend denies the truth of having third-party and
humiliated in front of many people when he tried to talk for a while but she refused. For the
goodness sake, he hides his aggression but shrunken his ego.
Due to the denial of aggression, the subject becomes constricted to the environment and
wants to break-out this constriction. Because the subject prevented by his mother during
childhood in ceasing land dispute between his father and grandfather, he cannot expressed his
emotion. Therefore, it results into constricted aggression in which he wants to release anger but
his mind prevents him.
Over control of the subject ascends because of maternal domination. When child place
too dependency upon his parents, there is a tendency to manipulate and monitor every actions
that are initiated. Consequences of action imply punishment. For instance when the subject
caught cheated by his teacher, he was sent to guidance and gives him advice. But
unfortunately, his mother slaps-off his face that serves as a punishment to enable him to study
hard.
The subject has feeling of inadequacy to the hostile environment. Because he has
constricted aggression, he cannot make an action to fight back to those who offended him. As a
result, temptation of anger replaced by reaction-formation to display opposite behavior which
makes him feels inadequate. As aggression continues to submerge into his consciousness,
there is a placement of guilt upon on it.
Oral denial forms when he lost maternal dependency and being separated to his mother.
His mother was a primary source of motivation and confidence. During high school years, he
has lots of friend but still, he has no motivation to his studies but rather in a relationship. He
likes to volunteer group activities but does nothing to contribute that he will find himself as
unproductive and stagnant person. Passive aggression as an excuse for unpleasant behavior
during group work. Lost of maternal dependence during late childhood results lost of motivation
and confidence that plays a key role in productivity of a child.
Subject’s fulfillment of needs, such as self-actualization, love and belongingness, and
esteem needs arises during maternal dependency. Because his mother placed too much
attachment and discipline to the child, he cannot self-actualize because of over control. Self-
actualization of resisting aggression towards person who offended him results guilt. Love and
belongingness serve as a relief for subject anxiety and depression. He needs someone who
would give him comfort and security. Esteem needs descend because he lacks confidence in
terms of group activities and study habits. Therefore, he cannot resist consequences of criticism
upon his classmates.
Preoccupied fantasy evokes subconscious wishes of subject that someday he would
have a father so that he would have the ability to fight back for those who offended him. It was
also arises during the foundation day of his school and special occasion. Therefore, it is the
manner of subject to temporarily alleviate his anxiety.
Maternal dependency also arise the subject to have depression. His mother always
forced him to study and do not play. When he plays, he accepts punishment and tends to have
no learning at all. Another instance when his former girlfriend ended their relationship. He began
to dishearten and cannot easily move on. To sublime his depression, he wants to be with his
friends and urgently seeks another relationship to achieve happiness, comfort, and love.
