Ordinary Miracle
A. According to the song, what are these ordinary miracles we have in life? Give / Identify
1. Staying alive every day is a miracle
2. Life is a gift
3. Waking up every morning is a miracle
4. We always overcome the challenges if lives
5. Every day is a brand-new day to a fresh start.

B. What is the lesson you can get from the song that you and other young people should
apply in life especially with the new normal situation we have now.

This song helps us realize that everyday life really is miraculous and to take time to appreciate
just how beautiful and delicate the balance of nature is. And, about appreciating life. That
staying alive everyday is a miracle we should be thankful that we are alive. We should live
everyday like every day is the last.

Sound of Silence
A. What is the SOUND OF SILENCE symbolically referring to in the song? Explain the
meaning of the title and its connection to society.
This is a great song that I love, and it is very intelligent and poetic. The song uses the
imagery of light and darkness to show how people's ignorance and apathy destroys their
ability to communicate even on simple levels. Its theme is man's inability to communicate
with man. The author sees the extent of communication as it is on only its most superficial
and "commercial" level of which the "neon sign" is representative. There is no serious
understanding because there is no serious communication “people talking without speaking
hearing without listening". No one dares take the risk of reaching out "take my arms that I
might reach you" to disturb the sound of silence.
