NARRATIVE REPORT OF THE ACTIVITY

“Begin with the end in mind”, an American author and professor, Stephen Covey once said. In
everything we do, we should always have a clear vision of our desired direction and destination.

The road to attaining one’s goal is always a difficult road to take. However, if every member of an
organization is willing to travel alongside with all the members, such road seems easy to take. Crafting the new
E-SIP for SY 2022-2025 is a difficult road to take but with the strong bond of Kawit NHS teachers, stakeholders,
and learners, this task was competently accomplished.

The crafting of the E-SIP started with an orientation attended by the school facilitators. Mrs. Maridian
Sebua and Alexandra R. De Guzman at Daanbantayan National High School, Daanbantayan, Cebu last July
2022. This orientation was facilitated by the Medellin Sub-office E-SIP experts headed by Dr. Clavel D. Salinas,
Division SHS Coordinator. The orientation was a two-day event that gave the school facilitators a
comprehensive overview on how to craft the E-SIP. In this event, the Medellin sub-office team were doing their
job well such that all participants can fully craft a useful E-SIP for their respective stations.

After the orientation, the facilitators were very eager to start the crafting of the E-SIP. A general meeting
with the members of the faculty was called to disseminate the important matters and divide the tasks to expedite
the accomplishment of the said goal. All teachers positively gave their assistance the best they could to make
things possible.

The gathering of data needed like child mapping were given to the advisers from Grade 7- Grade 12
where teachers actively doing their task to accomplish with the given time. Other teachers were also actively
engaged in summarizing other data such as enrollment, promotion, drop-outs, school facilities, literacy, and
numeracy data, WINs and many others. As all data needed were ready for analysis, the School Planning Team
and other teachers were gathered by the facilitators to start the crucial journey of the crafting of the E-SIP.

Using the all the data gathered, the SPT were very enthusiastic in identifying the top 3 improvement
areas. Brainstorming together, the SPT finally found the root cause of each of the improvement area identified
using the 5-WHY analysis. The SPT with the helping hand of the identified Project Team Leaders meticulously
formulated the best solutions to solve the identified problems.

Now with all the critical and important information gathered and formulated by all the teachers, SPT and
PT, writing the E-SIP was all set and easy. By the last week of August, the facilitators were finalizing the writing
of the E-SIP following the mandated format given from the Division office. A copy of the draft of the E-SIP was
submitted to the Medellin District for initial validation last August 30, 2022.

Finally, the date for the Division Validation of the crafted E-SIP has arrived. Last October 11 – 14, a
weeklong validation of the crafted E-SIP was implemented at different locations. First, the facilitators went to
Daanbantayan NHS then to Medellin District for initial validation of the format of the E-SIP. On October 13,
2022 in the afternoon at San Remigio National High School, finally the content of the crafted E-SIP was
validated by the Division Validators headed by Dr. Clavel D. Salinas, Division SHS Coordinator. There were
important findings that need to be revised, thus, necessary revisions were made to follow the mandates of the
validators. On the next day, October 14, 2022, at San Remigio National High School, the validators already
signed the Endorsement Form signifying that the crafted E-SIP was acceptable in accordance to the given
criteria.

Crafting of the E-SIP was literally a difficult task to

accomplish. However, the most crucial part is still about to
commence as the SPT, and the PTs shall see to it that what is
written will be fully implemented.

As Benjamin Franklin said, “Set your mind to it, and

make progress your reality”. Kawit National High School
Planning and Project Teams will do their best to make progress
and achieve its goal as set in the School Improvement Plan.

The facilitator, Alexandra R. De Guzman, presented all the data gathered to the SPT and PT members and
facilitated in the identification of the 3 Priority Improvement Areas. This was a whole day event since after the
identification of the PIAs, the analysis of the root cause followed using the 5-WHY analysis.
