WARNING!

For vehicles equipped with a distance sensor: if


the distance sensor is reused, the plastic guides
holding the distance sensor must always be
renewed.

1. Assemble the cooling package by first fitting


the radiator 2 on the charge air cooler 1, and
then fitting the fan cover 3 on the radiator.

IMPORTANT!

Check that the rubber seal fitted on the fan ring


is correctly located. It can be destroyed and
damage the fan if it is not fitted correctly.

Lift the radiator assembly into position and


screw the radiator assembly brackets onto the
chassis.

3. Remove the plugs on the openings of the


condenser's quick release couplings and fit the
quick release couplings.

4. Fit the condenser.

5. Fasten the clamps securing the pipes to the


condenser.

6. Fit the recirculation shields.

7. Refit the anti-roll bar.

8. Fit the bolts for the cab attachment, but do not


torque tighten the joint yet.

9. Fit the anti-roll bar caps 2. Torque tighten the


upper bolts in the caps first. Fit the nut for the
lower air spring attachment and torque tighten
the nut.

10. Lower the cab and remove the cab lifting tool.

11. If the vehicle is fitted with air suspension as a


cab spring:
Fit the air pipe onto the anti-roll bar using cable
ties.
Fit the link 1 to the levelling valve lever.

12. Fill with air so that the cab is at the correct


level. Then torque tighten the cab attachment
bolts.

WARNING!

Always use axle stands to support the vehicle


when working under vehicles with air
suspension.

Fit the lower coolant hose between the engine


and radiator from below.

14. Fit the lower front grille panel and the


intermediate plate in the grille.

15. Fit the bumper

WARNING!

Always tilt the cab fully. When working under


the cab, it should be secured using a strut or
similar.

Tilt the cab; see subgroup 18-65 Cab tilting.


Secure with 99 431 Safety prop.

17. Fit the bracket for the coolant hoses and


connect the coolant hoses between the engine
and cooling package. Connect both sides.

WARNING!

Do not open the AC circuit or undo any


connections since they contain pressurised
refrigerant.

If the vehicle is fitted with AC, refit the


brackets for the AC pipes 6. Also refit the
clamp that has been loosened from one of the
AC pipes.

19. Fit the torque rods 5.

21. Tilt back the cab; see subgroup 18-65 Cab


tilting.

22. Fill with coolant; see subgroup 02-00 Cooling


system.
