Qs: According to you, what kind of skills and behaviors should a manager possess while
overcoming an economic crisis?
Ans: Managers should quickly process available information, rapidly determine what matters
most, and make decisions with conviction in order to overcome an economic crisis. Managers
should document the issues identified, ensure that leadership is fully aligned with them, and
make course corrections as events unfold. They should make smart tradeoff and name the
decision makers. Manger should get a head of the changing circumstances. They should decide
what not to be done and prioritize their work accordingly. They should putt a hold on large
initiatives and expenses. The best managers adjust quickly and develop new plans. Managers
should strengthen and build direct connections to the front line. They should take personal
ownership in a crisis, even though many challenges and factors lie outside their control. They
align team focus, establish new metrics to monitor performance, and create a culture of
accountability in order to overcome economic crisis. Managers should document there top 3 to
5 prioritizes and should make sure that they are being fulfilled. They should connect with
individual team member sand make sure that they are fulfilling their tasks on time. As a
manager, you are navigating new and ever-changing priorities with limited time to react. Some
small investments in support and coaching can go a long way toward boosting your leaders’
effectiveness. The labour should be trained properly in order to have good results from them
and have no loss.
