AmBisyon Natin 204

AmBisyon Natin 2040, a long-term goals and aspirations of the Filipino people, describes the
lifestyle that people aspire to lead and the state of the nation in 2040.

According to the report of Disederio from the Philippine Star, the Philippines has made progress in
reducing poverty, but it is one of the East Asian nations with the largest income inequality, which
the World Bank stated may be reduced with the help of policies that foster equal access to
opportunities and resilience. However, income inequality remains severe, with the country's income
Gini coefficient, which gauges how money is distributed among a population, standing at 42.3
percent in 2018, ranking among the highest income inequality rates in East Asia, according to the
World Bank.

The current status of AmBisyon Natin 2040 according to the World Bank, decreasing inequality and
fostering inclusion are essential to the country's national development since the Philippines has a
long-term goal of creating a society where no one is poor under the AmBisyon Natin 2040 plan.
According to Ndiamé Diop, country director for Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand at
the World Bank, "The Philippines seeks to become a middle-class society free from poverty by
2040, but we know from global experience that no country has managed to make this transition
while maintaining high levels of inequality."

Filipinos are strongly rooted : Matatag

As per the report of Philippine Star, the inequality remains high in the Philippines. So among the
three pillars, I believe that the Matatag na Buhay is in the clear path of realization wherein Filipino
families cohabitate; there is a balance between work and life so that even those who work can
spend time with family. Families and friends spend time together in parks and leisure areas on the
weekends. It is a society that values trust and has a strong sense of belonging. There are volunteer
opportunities, and Filipinos devote time to giving back to the community, supporting charitable
projects, and assisting those in need.

I come to the conclusion that this is the fundamental pillar that we can more readily implement in our
nation than the other two, which aim to give the people of the nation freedom from hunger, access to
resources to pay for unforeseen expenses, peace and security, and the ability to have faith in their
government because it is free of corruption. Due to the state of the economy in this nation, it is difficult
to put these statements into practice. The Philippines' annual inflation rate increased to 7.7%, according
to Trading Economics, which was the highest reading since December 2008. This makes it difficult to
meet the fundamental needs of all Filipino citizens and to achieve AmBisyon Natin 2040's Maginhawa
and Panatag na Buhay goals within ten or more years.
