COURSE BOOK:
English File B2.2 fourth edition Student’s Book (OUP) and Workbook with Key Pack.
READING
During the year students will have to read 1 novel and one or two short stories or 2 novels. The
corresponding dates are:

ASSESSMENT
All 4th level students will take a final exam at the end of the year.
Mediation 20%

Writing* 20%
Oral 20%
To pass, students must score at least 50% in each part and a total of 65%.
*Writing: Students will take 3 writing tests during the course which will account for 20 % of the
mark of the final exam. Each writing test is awarded a different percentage and will be taken on
the dates set by the teacher (see table below). Those students not taking these 3 writings in due
time, will have to take a writing test in May together with the final exam.

Students will also do a Mock Exam to get familiar with the final exam.
HOLIDAYS
• Holidays: 12th October, 7th and 8th December, 15th and 16th February, 24th May, 24th
June
• Christmas Holidays: 22nd December 2020- 7th January 2021 (both inclusive)
• Easter Holidays: 29th March – 5th April 2021 (both inclusive)
FRIDAY CLASSES: There won’t be any more classes on Fridays. Instead we’ll have classes that
will last 2 hours and 15 minutes.
