SYLLABUS FOR GRADUATE COURSES

I. COURSE INFORMATION

COURSE NUMBER DCC 103 NO. OF UNITS 3

COURSE TITLE Advanced Data Analytics

PREREQUISITE/S

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM DIT

II. COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course prepares students to gather, describe, and analyze data using more ad-
vanced analytics algorithms to make decisions on operations, risk management, finance,
and marketing. Topics will start with applications of non-parametric memory-based al-
gorithms then move on to more advanced parametric linear, non-linear, and Bayesian
models. and then probability, statistics, hypothesis testing, regression, clustering, deci-
sion trees, and forecasting. The course also aims to provide an overview of advanced
deep learning algorithms and apply them towards solving business problems. machine
learning, data mining and statistical techniques that arise in data analytic applications.
