Introduction
My home country is Pakistan while, my destination country is England.

Task 1

Education
Home Country
The constitution of Pakistan has made education compulsory in Pakistan for 5-16 years
(Islamabad Policy Research Institute , 2015) to improve literacy rate and to reduce the growth
rate of population. The government of Pakistan aims to reduce the population growth rate by
educating the people which will also generate country’s economic growth, bring a change in
human living and lead to modernisation. (Robert Hunter, 2020)

The education system in Pakistan is public and private. The education in Pakistan consists of
profit institutions and non-profit institutions. Non-profit institutions are controlled by
government, community based organizations and classes happen on the site. Profit institutions
are controlled by private owners and classes take place on the school premises or online.

The research conducted by Islamabad Policy Research Institute gives us data, there are 260,903
institutions in Pakistan with 41,018,384 students and 1,535,461 teachers. There are 31% private
institutes and 69% public institutes (Islamabad Policy Research Institute , 2015). As a result,
public institutions are dominating which is because of poverty in Pakistan.

Private education in Pakistan offers great facilities and resources. Private education in Pakistan
aims for profit whereas, public education is regulated by governmental bodies and community
based organizations which lacks management and education follows memorization pattern.

Destination Country
In comparison to England, it has high quality education system, also known as British education
system. The primary education includes year 4-6, secondary education comprises of year 7-12, A
Levels study is also taught which is between the year 14-16. There are education fees for college
and university degrees in England for private education whereas in public education, there is no
fees structure. Furthermore, the private universities also offer Masters’ degree.

According to World Population Review, England is ranked no#2 for education in 2022 (World
Population Review, 2022). The government in England aims to increase education coverage as
they believe their present generation is future for next generation. University of Oxford,
University of Cambridge, Imperial College of London and UCL are top universities which are
considered for high education in England as these universities are included in QS World Ranking
2022. (QS Top Universities, 2022)

Conclusion
There are similarities and differences in education system of both countries. Education in
Pakistan and England is compulsory for 5-16 years (Centers, 2022). One of the difference is that
Pakistan follows Pakistan Local Education Board whereas England follows British Educational
System. Pakistan has started to follow British Educational System as they have started to teach
IGSCE subjects because institutions in Pakistan believe there is great future for UK
qualifications.

In conclusion, people mostly consider UK for studies as it offers study for best qualifications.
There are four universities ranked from London in QS World University Ranking 2022 which
includes University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, UCL and Imperial College London (Lane,
2021).

Work
Home Country
Foreigners employees who are looking to work in Pakistan have to get a work visa. The
documents you require includes your passport, photograph, registration letter of the company,
contact details, the cover letter, company details, the employment agreement and FBR NTN
Certificate. (Investment, 2020)

People in Pakistan aim to work in professions of Doctor, CSS and Chartered Accounting. Those
students who are weak in Mathematics and Sciences, choose Business studies often. In
Chartered Accounting, the student learns how to manage the finance of the company. CSS
exams requires an individual to deal with all the tasks in the Cabinet of Pakistan. CSS exams are
difficult to pass. To be able to qualify for CSS exam, we need to at least pass bachelor’s degree.
There are high wages for CSS, Chartered Accounting and Medical jobs in Pakistan. (Future
Learn, 2020)

Pakistan lacks IT professionals which comprises of Software Engineers, Information Technology

Professionals because Pakistan has weaker laws enforcement in software industry. Pakistan
also faces challenges of unlicensed usage. Other reasons include; there is minimum support
from the government, unavailability of internet in some places and power issues.

Mostly students who have interest in business, go for family oriented business. Lawyer and
engineer professions are also in demand in Pakistan because students believe there is great
future for it in UK.

Destination Country
Work in England is very much different. London is most populated city in England therefore, it is
difficult to get a job there. This city provides great facilities to its residents. Therefore, people
have their first option, most often London. There is high demand for IT jobs in England. For
applying your job, you need to prepare a great CV and a cover letter where, you write about
skills you are professional in.

633769930.docx
There is also high competition for jobs in Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Luton state in
England. Middlesbrough requires 3.3 CV and Sunderland requires 2.6 CV (Charlesworth, 2020).
These cities have 30% less people because companies are looking for high qualified workers.

To set up a good career in England, you need to give a good interview. Moreover, companies
are looking for highly skilled and talented workers. After finding a job, you need to apply for a
work visa of UK and find a residential place to live. Also, there are high expenses in London
hence, individuals take their decision logically and intelligently.

Conclusion
We can see IT study is more dominant work in England and it is often difficult to get jobs in
London as the city is populated. There is also high competition for jobs in Middlesbrough,
Sunderland and Luton state. However, Pakistan has work visa for foreigners while, Chartered
Accounting, CSS and Doctor are more preferable professions in Pakistan as there are high
wages.

Final Conclusion
I will consider Pakistan for private education and work especially for CSS and CA studies as
there is great future for it. Whereas, I will not consider England for education because the
expenses, there are really high for studies. I will only consider England as my destination
country once, my parents get a job and earn good income there.

The private education in Pakistan have changed as some of institutions have begun to teach UK
qualifications. I will not consider Pakistan for public education as it lacks management and
studies follow memorization pattern.

Task 2
Pakistan has many online retail websites which includes Daraz, Telemart.pk and iShopping.pk.
One of the benefits of online retail in Pakistan is that it allows buyers to buy a product which is

633769930.docx
not available in their home city. These goods are delivered to consumers’ doorstep. Online
retail is also more convenient and easy for them as it saves their time, money and fuel of the
car. It also saves transportation cost in case, when the delivery is free.
Online retail presents variety of choices to people. People in Pakistan often make choices over
the product they admire most and can afford. Study by Mubarak Zeb Khan gives us information
that Pakistan e-commerce market is growing because of many reasons; consumers have privacy
for unnoticeable purchases, there is no crowd and no disturbance (Khan, 2021).
The disadvantages are; people are unaware about what they are getting, sometimes there are
false or scam websites. In some cases, there is no support from local retailers and there are no
sales assistance. Other negatives of online retail are that people are addictive towards it, they
spend too much money over the products which they don’t need for use.
Also, sometimes in Pakistan, if we have paid our payment online, sometimes our parcels get
stolen or lost. There are often quality issues. Sometimes the products we receive can be
defective and replica. Another negative is that it is difficult to gain trust of customers.
In conclusion, there are benefits and negatives of online retail in Pakistan. The organizations
should try to make their management excellent, efficient in marketing and delivering their
products to people at their doorstep. All those companies who work online should ensure, their
customers receive their placed order in best quality. As a result, we can see online retail is
growing in Pakistan.
