THE PHILIPPINES AFTER 100 YEARS

In the long run, the Philippines has always been regarded as an unsafe haven due to a
slew of graft and corruption issues, which have resulted in the country’s extreme poverty, low
economic standing, and of other problems. Hence, the supposed great picture of a progressive
and abundant haven has seemingly faded over the centuries.

After 100 years, the Philippines will still be on the verge of failure, with poverty
remaining widespread and unabated if population growth is not slowed, and people’s ethical
moorings will remain unchanged as a result of the growing cases of poverty. In contrast, I still
envision that the Philippines will blossom and become one of the world’s top economic
powerhouses if and only if our country prioritizes education. We have poor education and the
worst type of curriculum. We have understaffed facilities, and the system is plagued by
underqualified teachers. Furthermore, this is perhaps the best time to truly invest in academe and
focus on more timely and relevant necessities of the youth in order to give back and improve the
lives of Filipinos over the next 100 years. After all, when we triumph over vicious corruption and
treachery, hold accountable those public officials who only bring destruction to the country, and
refocus our attention on resolving massive national issues rather than blind idolization,
everything falls into place — and the next 100 years will be prosperous to live about.
