GNED 03 Mathematics in the Modern World

 What did you learn in the video?

The short movie or clip by Cristóbal Vila entitled “Nature by Numbers” shows that
numbers, geometry, and nature are all things in this world that are inspired by numbers,
measurement, and computation. So basically, the short clip that I watched showed some
patterns and numbers then it turned into kinds of boxes until it spiraled because the pattern
then, later on, resulted in beautiful flowers and other things related to nature. The type of
patterns in the introduction shows us the Fibonacci Sequence. And the Fibonacci sequence
goes with 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, and so on, as shown at the beginning of the clip. It
was the sum of two numbers that come before it. After that, it creates a spiral thing when
we combine the box of the sequence and it makes a spiral seashell. This Short Movie is
composed of beautiful video clips that represent mathematics has a great influence on
nature, it was a work of art.
