Short Biography: Catherine Andino Santiago

My name is Catherine Andino Santiago and I have been helping

students fall in love with learning a second language for 15 years. I have

lived in Vega Alta for all my life and worked in Corozal during all my

teaching career. I have taught from elementary levels to high school. I am

currently teaching 10th grade. I am also working on Professional Practice in

Elementary Education Bachelor’s degree and will hopefully be

completing the English Certification Program. I have devoted the totality

of my teaching career to ESL language learners, and I am truly committed

to helping ESL learning in Puerto Rico and helping them understand their

learning process for academic success and fostering formative,

meaningful life skills. I was myself an ESL learner and have experiences the

frustration and struggles ESL have, therefore I have made it my mission to

provide significant bilingual stimuli to all the students I teach.
