VARIHARD SteelCase TC Rod is a high-performance

anti-wear product in the form of an innovative tubular
welding rod with tungsten carbides as the hard
phase which offers very high wear resistance. These
welding rods are suitable for flame brazing & TIG
welding and used for surface wear protection of
metal parts undergoing extreme wear.

It deposits an extremely durable protective coating

comprising a dense mass of ultra-hard tungsten
carbides that provides excellent wear resistance for
high wear applications.

Why VARIHARD Flexi TC Rod ?
Preparation & Preheating :
Every surface to be hard-faced must be clean

grinding operation might be necessary. All

Depositing:
Heat a small area to allow the surface to get into
plastic stage. Apply the TC Rod and when it
flows, it will carry with it the tungsten carbide
particles. The torch flame must form an angle of
about 45°.
All edges applications must be done first then
an additional center pass may be added. Up to
2-3 layers can easily be deposited.
