Critical Questions: Read and write your answer to the following questions.

1. What strategies can be used to promote and appreciation of cultural diversity in different
classes?

The teacher should know who and what his/her learners are. So that the teacher can
touch his/her learners in promoting and appreciating each of his/her students' different
cultures. Moreover, the teacher should know, understand, and practice the cognitive, affective,
and psychomotor development of learners. Knowing what are the diverse factors that influence
education. And understand what could be the learning style and thinking preferences of the
learners.

2. Examine existing instructional materials such as textbooks and manuals. How do these
instructional materials respond to students with various needs and interests?

Based on what I noticed and saw, instructional materials like textbooks and manuals
have a great impact on how learners learn. And we all know that those instructional materials
are needed and must-haves for each learner. At some point, if all of the instructional materials
are presentable and affordable. The learner will somehow pay their interest in reading it as well
as learners will have an eagerness to study more.

3. What type of learning environment can be developed for culturally diverse students?

The learning environment that can be developed by having culturally diverse students is
learners can develop cross-cultural skills in culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms.
Meaning to say, there will be an active and lively environment when there is a diversity of
cultures in learning. For such learning to take place, however, teachers must have the attitudes,
knowledge, and skills to make their classrooms effective learning environments for all students.

1. What curriculum models can be developed and implemented in a multicultural country like
the Philippines?

The curriculum model that can be developed and implemented in multicultural


countries like the Philippines is K-12 curriculum. Having this curriculum will touch every culture
that Philippine education has like studying or learning the mother tongue down to multi-lingual
education and so on.

2. What strategies and programs can you suggest for the successful implementation of the
curriculum?

The strategies or programs that will somehow help for the successful implementation of
the curriculum is having seminars on what and how one particular curriculum works. And
having more activities that are connected to the curriculum will have a great impact on the
enhancement and development of the curriculum.

3. What pedagogical approaches can be used to maximize students' learning?

The pedagogical approaches that can be used to maximize students' learning are
cooperative learning and technology integration. Wherein in cooperative learning there will be
a collaboration between the learners-to-teacher or learner-to-learner, it will expand and
expound the learning of the learner. And in technology integration, we all know that 21st-
century learners can best approach by involving technologies in learning like a laptop,
PowerPoint, projector, television, and so on.
