Each of the topics discussed in the videotape include diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at
the USF MUMA College of Business. The main ideas discussed in the videotape are how to
create a space that is safe and welcoming for everyone, how to be cautious of unconscious
impulses and microaggressions, how to cultivate a climate of respect and appreciation, and the
importance of appreciating and understanding various viewpoints.
3. There are numerous ways to apply the key lessons to situations in the real world. A safe space
can help to prevent bullying and harassment, for instance, and encouraging appreciation and
challenging yourself and others can help to increase awareness and understanding of diversity
and inclusion. Other examples include respecting others in the workplace, understanding and
responding to diverse perspectives, creating a safe space, and creating a safe space. Other
contexts like education, healthcare, and government can also benefit from the use of these ideas.
