Admission Circular for the parents seeking admission to their wards under the provisions of
RTE Act in class- I for the Academic Session 2021-22

This circular contains the guidelines for admission in class-1 (one) oniy for the academic session
2021-22 under RTE Act at Atomic Energy Central Schools (AECS- I to 6) located at Anushaktinagar,
Mumbai (Maharashtra) 400094.

The applications are hereby invited for admission under RTE Act to the children who come under the
categories of SC/ST/EWS/BPL/OBC(Non creamy iayer- NCl)/Children with special Needs
(Differently abled children named hereafter as CWSN) against the25%o of the total strength of class
gne ofthe every AEC School. The total strength includes the admissions granted under categories
of
DAE and Non-DAE, students plus these students of RTE Category.

The children selected through this circular will be admitted for grant ol free eduoation (Exemption for
payment of Tuition Fees and PUV\,TI Fees) from class 1 to g on1y.

The foltowing rvill be the eligibility criteria and the method of applying and selection:

1 . Age C roup: The children born on or after 0110412014 and on or before 3110312016.Age proof:
For Class {, certificate of proof of age in the fbrm of a birth certificate issued by the authority
competent to register births. This will include cefiificates from Notified Area Council I
Municipality / Municipal Corporation, extract about the date of birth from records of village
Panchayat, Military Hospital. The original certificate of date of birth of finally selected children
will be verified by the school and retumed to the parent after verification.
2. Categories etigible to apply: Ail the children belong to SC/ST/EWS/BPL/OBC (Non creamy
layer- NCL) (OBC also includes SBC, BC, VJNT or any other category come under
OBC as
per the directives issued by the State Govt. of Maharashtra, provided they also
come under non-
+ creamy layer or NCL) and CWSN (for disabled childien the disability certificate issued by Civil

only eligible to apply.
3. Maximum lncome criteria: In case of child belongs to EWS/ BpL/ OBC- NCL (SBC, BC,
VJNT or any other category come under OBC as per the directives issued by the State Gow. of
Maharashtra) categories: The family income must be less than Rs. I lakh (One Lakh) p.a. The
income certificate should not be older than 6 months on I't Aprii 2021 and should be issued
by
the Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar.
4. Distance from the school: The children residing in the neighborhood area (Within radius
of 5
KMs from the AEC School of Anushaktinagar, Mumbai opted by the applicant). Only one
application needs to bc submitted for admission to all AECS schools coming within 5
km of
their residence. The parents will have to clearly indicate their order of priority for the AEC
Schools No.1 to 6, in Sr. No. 19 of application form. The application will not be considered
for the school rvhich will have distance of more than 5 kilometer from the residence
of the child.
