At the beigning create new folder for new contents.

After that we create new shapefile.

Then type it is name and feature type.

Also you need to edit it is coordinate system according to it is location.

After that we can see the file that we have created.


Now we save the file and close ArcCatalog and run ArcMsp.

After we lunch ArcMap , go to add data to insert the file that we have created.

Also you need to add Image file to work on it.

Now to start draw on the image, go to editorand start editing.

At right we can see new tabe what it has the files with editing tools at the buttom.
Now we select for example line tool to draw street lines.

Now add vertices of the street line to shape it.

At the end you should double click on last one.

Change the symbol to make it more visible.

After you finish drawing street lines , go to editing tab, then save and stop.

Now open attribute table to add data on drawings you have made.

To add new column, go to table option then add field.

If you select the elements , it will highlighting on the table.

You also can do multi select, by holding on shift button and right click on elements.

To add same data on multi elements just right click on the top of column then field calculator , then select the field and add the data.

Also you can order the elements according to its data.

In addition you can show the label on the map.
