TUYAN SHS CELEBRATES NATIONAL READING MONTH

November 7 2022, Tuyan SHS- Elevating our critical thinking skills through reading
and cultivating the impact of reading for students. The Tuyan SHS had celebrated National
Reading Month also known as "Pambansang Buwan at Araw ng Pagbasa (PBAP)".

Mrs. Lilibeth Trangcao managed to introduce this program to her fellow learners by
talking about the importance of reading and why we should incorporate reading in our lives.
Followed by a short quiz prepared by Mrs. Hyacinth Veliganio to test the students' knowledge
related to literature. According to DePeD, the school activities in the program must be held inside
the classroom as part of the instructional time to avoid disruption of classes.

This year's school reading coordinators were given the leeway to create their own
reading month theme based on their school reading program and conduct reading month
activities geared to promote reading like demonstrations of linguistic, literacy, communication
and reading skills in Mother Tongue, Filipino and English languages. Activities that were related
on this event such as reading culmination, bookmark making, spelling bee, and the honorary
program Gods and Goddesses.
