NARATIVE REPORT
FILIPINO VALUES MONTH CELEBRATION

Calatagan Senior High School with the support of the


Department of Education celebrates the 2021 National Observance of the Filipino
Values Month (FVM) with the theme, Pagpapaunlad ng Pagkatao,
Pakikipagkapuwa at Pananampalataya: Hamon sa Panahon ng Pandemya, under
the Presidential Proclamation No. 479 dated October 24, 1994, declaring the
month of November every year as Filipino Values Month.
Aligned to this, CSHS teachers prepared interesting activities
for grade 11 students, such as Virtual Spoken Poetry, in which the student
participant makes a video showing their self-written piece which is related to the
theme. In the other hand, grade 12 students participated in the Advocacy
campaign competition where they show their unique and meaningful advocacies
about the theme of the year’s celebration. Both categories were required to
submit Both categories were required to submit pre-recorded video of them while
performing their piece. Non- advisee teachers served as the judges in the
competition to ensure the fair judging in the event.
Last November 29, 2021 at 1 pm, the event was held via
Google Meet as part of the celebration. The program began with a prayer given
by Mr. Jefrey C. Martinez followed by the Philippine National Anthem.

The school most dedicated and supportive Principal II,


Mrs. Janet G. Apolinar, addressed her opening remarks on the theme and point
out the importance of cooperation of teachers amidst this pandemic. Ms. Kayce
B. Magboo Teacher I, introduced the panel of judges, which included Mr.Eugene
Cejero,, Ms.Purification Mendoza and Ms. Maycee Padilla, teachers from
Calatagan Senior High School.
Virtual spoken poetry representatives from HUMSS 11-Escoda, Charlene
Malanguihan, TVL 11-Renaissance , Valarie Saranglao, ABM 11- GOZON ,
Gian Harvey Rosello, alongside with the Advocacy Campaign participants from
ABM 12- Gokongwei, Diane D. Datinguinoo, Andrea Jane A. De Arce, Trisha
Mei P. Landicho and TVL 12- Heritage Micaela D. Clamor was awarded by
certificates of participation for their participation and support of the
aforementioned celebration. The students from the 11th grade presented an
outstanding and remarkable performance. They show some high spirited
presentations with the help of their teachers and parents.
After the video presentations, a harmonious chorale presentation of selected
junior and senior high school teachers of Calatagan District was show. They sang
the song “Tanging Yaman” that reflects the importance of family.
As every part of a competitions, there will be the set of winners. The
winners in the Virtual Spoken Poetry category were: Charlene Malaguina , TVL
11-Escoda (1st); Valarie Saranglao ABM 11- Renaissance ( 2nd) ; and, Gian
Harvey Rosello ABM 11-Gozon ( 3rd).

While in Advocacy campaign the participants who rise on top were Andrea
Jane. D. Arcega- ABM 12 (1st), Micaela D. Clamor- ABM 12 ( 2nd), Diane D.
Datinguinoo- TVL 12 Heritage (3rd).
All winners were awarded by certificates that symbolizes their efforts and
skills in their masterpiece.
As the program reach its end Mrs. Luzviminda G. Vella gave the closing
remarks and spoke about the activities' success while also recognizing all of the
teachers who helped organize the program.
In this program, indeed show how powerful cooperation is in achieving one
goal.
