Activity Completion Report on

125 Celebration of the Philippine Independence Day

The 125th Philippine Independence Day commemoration was successfully

conducted on June 12, 2023 at Bulawen Elementary School, Palauig , Zambales with
the theme: “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasanayan “. Held by the school faculty and
staff, the event was held to promote appreciation and patriotism amongst the
students.

A week before the celebration, teachers and students collaborated to display

Philippine flaglets in fences, corridors, window panes and posts.

The activities during the celebration began with a Flag raising ceremony
where the national anthem was conducted by Mrs. Henriza Aledo. This was followed
by Panunumpa sa Watawat performed by a grade 4 pupil under the advisory of Mrs.
Jonalyn Penaredondo, and Panatang Makabayan by a grade 5 pupil under Mrs. Joy
V. Angulo.

An orientation about Philippine Independence Day was conducted by Mrs.

Margene E. Celeste, the Araling Panlipunan school coordinator. Further, the school’s
teaching and non-teaching personnel took a group photo in their Filipiniana attires.

Classroom-based discussions were conducted to increase the students’

awareness about the Philippine Flag and the events associated with Philippine
Independence.

Classroom-based contests were held to further engage the students. These

include poster-making, slogan-making, jingle writing and singing, debate, and essay
writing. The Philippine Independence Day event was held successfully.
