COMPILATION OF HOME
VISITATION
For students, families, and teachers, a home visit can help close gaps between
the home and the classroom. A growing body of research highlights how crucial it is for
parents to encourage their children' learning at home. One strategy to strengthen the
relationship between the teacher and parent and improve the chances of success for
the students is through a home visit (Kilgore, 2014). Moreover, home visits may boost
student achievement, kick-start parental involvement, lessen behavior issues, and
transmit positive attitudes.
Further to that, Pag-asa National High School was one of the schools that
adhered to the stated objectives of home visitation so that we could help those students
continue their studies, provide intervention if necessary, and give words of wisdom and
encouragement to both parents and students to continue their studies. The picture
below illustrates how the science department's teachers conducted their home visits.
Mrs. Melanie A. Certeza, Grade 7 teacher
together with other subject teachers during the
home visitation.
Mrs. Tolentino discussed the academic performance of some of the
8 – Del Pilar students with their parents. She also distributed copies
of unclaimed modules, activity sheets, and remedial activities.
Ms. Shally V. Magdasoc and Grade 9 teachers during a home visitation on selected Grade 9
students. Ms. Magdasoc discussed with the parents the status of their son/daughters submission
and completion of their activities.
The adviser Mrs. Jesusa G. Bilog conducted a home visitation to Navleen Singh from 7-
Couarge to inform her missing/lack activities in other subjects particularly in Mapeh. The
adviser explained the possibility of getting low grades if failure to submit the activities on
time.

The teacher of 7-Couarge was conducted a home visitation to Shairros Dave Vela Cruz to know the
reasons why the said student does not attend his online class. Mrs. Sarah Grace Patayan also provided a
reading material to know the level of comprehension of the students and to identify the kind of assistance
to be provided by the teachers for him. The adviser Mrs. Jesusa G. Bilog the adviser encourages the
student to continue attend his online class and submit his lack/missing activities in all his subjects. The
agreement was made and signed by his uncle as his guardian on behalf of his mother who is an OFW.
During the home visitation, teachers from Grade 10 were present together with 10-molave adviser Mr.
Michael C. Bernardo. In this home visitation, Mr. Bernardo emphasizes the significance of submitting in
and keeping through on tasks, particularly for students who are graduating. He also adds that if the
students don't submit in the necessary requirements such as WW and HPT, students will fail.
