NARRATIVE REPORT
CATCH-UP FRIDAY
FEBRUARY 02, 2024
On the third session of Catch-Up Friday, grade seven teachers, with the guidance of
year level coordinator, Mrs. Cristeta C. De Villa, prepared a centralized dll to be used by the
grade seven department.
Three parts were the priorities in the new framed class schedule. GMRC, NRP, and
health Education respectively. GMRC was handled by class adviser as they tackled the lesson
about Compassion. Video clip was played and students gave their insights about the video.
To deepen the concept of this trait, each student writes an acronym of the word Compassion
on their reflection notebook.
During the pre-reading activities on NRP, the song “Count on Me” by Bruno Mars
was played as it is parallel of the lesson in GMRC. Students read a text on Empathy and
Compassion during the time of reading. Each section reads the text through Choral,
Individual, and Partner Reading.
On the last part was Health Education. The first five minutes was utilized for Friday
Routine Exercise. During the Health session, teachers discuss the different types of
relationship; Friendship, Romantic and Sexual. Afterwards, students were asked to make a
role play that shows the types of relationship.
Activities were all engaging that brought this day to be a fruitful one!

DEAR day. Different suggested activities are prepared for learners to used.
They watched videos about The Bee Peace Maker, , they also enhance the listening
ability in the recorded audio, they listen to the song One and reflect with it. Using
their journal book they write their reflective feedback about the day. Choral reading
also done this time. Learners can participate one hundred percent. Debate also
executed in response to the long engagement and marriage topic. We are very
happy that some of the learners share their personal experiences about compassion
regarding family ties, long engagement with love, trust and respect. Regular
feedback sessions with teachers helped identify successful practices and
areas for improvement, ensuring an ongoing commitment to making future
Catch-Up Fridays even more effective. The school looks forward to building
on this initiative and exploring further opportunities for inclusive and
effective learning experiences as outlined in the educational directives set by
DepEd. Allotted activities were successfully completed by the learners. The day was
very challenging but enjoyable and interesting based on grade 7 learners.
