NARRATIVE AND PICTORIAL REPORT OF PROJECT AKAP ”ANAK

KUMUSTA ANG PAG-AARAL”

Project AKAP is designed to strengthen and institutionalize the home visitation

program for learners who live through difficulty in surviving to distance learning
from Kinder to Grade 6 and to give stress to their condition in this time of
pandemic.
The teachers of each grade level of Bangad Elementary School home visited
the learners needing remediation or support in their learning. Since education is
no longer held (for the mean time) within the school, parents serve as partners
of teachers in education. Parents play a crucial role as home facilitators. Their
primary role in distance learning is to form a connection and guide the child. The
learners may ask assistance from the teacher via Facebook messenger, text
message/call among others. The teacher takes the responsibility of monitoring
the progress of the learners.

During the home visitation, appropriate health protocols had been followed.
Parents and learners were asked to wear facemasks and face shields. Social
Distancing was also observed to protect everyone from the virus. All parents
had been accounted by writing their personal information on the Home Visitation
Form prepared by the teacher.

Moreover, the teachers reminded each parent to guide the learners as they
went along with the process of distance learning. Imparted among parents the
value of their guidance or any members of the family that could help their child
in his/her study during this time of pandemic. Continuous monitoring among
learners was a great help to make certain that the learners is in the right path of
their lesson.
