Motivation letter sample for an ICT Supervisor position at Medecins Sans

Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Gregory Lutilo, and I’m a graduate in computer science from Masinde Muliro University
of science and technology. I’m writing this letter to express my strong motivation for the ICT
Supervisor position at Medecins Sans Frontieres.
My particular interests in ICT originates from the period when I worked as an Intern with Mumias
Sugar Company and got vast knowledge on the systems, later on I worked as an ICT Assistant with
Ufundi Sacco and rose to the rank of Information officer.
During my tenure, I used to oversee the design, development and implementation of software,
troubleshooting networks and isolating them, component integration, website management and design
testing, report specific generation, extensive computer analysis and lifespan durability of purchased
electronic components.
Software architecture, installation, engaging business users, managing and implementation of new
systems were part of my daily tasks. In the spirit of my inquisitive personality, I was curios how those
systems worked. In response to this inquisitiveness, I joined AMREF Flying Doctors as an IT support
officer, where I did daily support of systems, server management, satellite transmission of internet
using the point-to-point beaming, hardware maintenance both in the field and our extended offices.
This particular momentum driven my desire to master computer vision, and develop my career in this
area of expertise.

With extreme technology advancement comes my ability to think critically, multitask and a high
degree of change to adapt to new system, tools and technologies with limited supervision.

In my various capacities, I have been able to create and provide support and assistance to both single
departments and multiple individuals throughout the organization. I have gained in-depth experience
in data and record management, research and development, report writing, developing presentations,
drafting correspondence, minute taking at meetings, travel and event management. I have a
comprehensive working knowledge of various computer applications including MS Word, Excel,
Power Point and Access. 
I am a good team player and builder who believes everyone below me must be fully motivated to give
what he/she is supposed to give for success. I am good at persuading others by creating relationships
based on mutual trust and understanding which can really help in achieving set targets. In addition to
a results-driven approach, you can rest assured that I will uphold the highest level of dedication,
resourcefulness and professionalism as a member of your organization. I have a positive attitude, an
aptitude for strategic thought and planning, and ability to adapt quickly to new ideas and situations. In
addition, I have experience in supervising staff and working with high-net-worth clients, both of
which require extra attention. Through successfully managing both internal and external relationships,
I have accelerated the achievement of goals and positioned myself as a valuable resource in a variety
of situations.
 
Given my ability to communicate effectively in both English and Swahili, my Statistical background,
computer prowess, colleague management strengths, customer service skills, teamwork and
organizational skills, I know I have the qualifications and enthusiasm that you are looking for
