    Shaping all the scales and pulling out the pleat intersections later provides a better result than only shaping the base. The test fold on page 124, which involved shaping all scales, turned out better than the test fold on page 123 where only the base was shaped. It is recommended to shape all scales first before pulling out pleat intersections.

    Lesson 11 Correction

    As with Lesson 7, I now believe it’s best to shape all the scales and pull out the pleat
    intersections later. You can see the difference between Page 123 (the earlier, base-only test fold)
    and Page 124 (the test fold for shaping.)
