STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The study aims to determine the factors affecting the academic performance of selected

working students in BSTM program at Bestlink College of the Philippines during the Academic Year

2022 - 2023.

Specifically, it sought answer to the following questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of:

1.1 Age; 1.4 Family Income;

1.2 Sex; 1.5 Number of working hours;

1.3 Civil Status;

2. What are the factors that affect the academic performance of working students in BSTM

program in terms of:

2.1 Learning factor

2.2 Physical factor

2.3 Emotional and social factor

2.4 Environmental factor

3. Is there a significant relationship between the academic performance of the respondents

and the profile of the respondents?

4. What are the problems encountered of working students while studying in BSTM

program?

5. How may the findings be utilized in crafting a guide for working students in BSTM

Program?
