1. What is the contribution of Copernicus in the philosophy of science?

ANSWER: Copernicus inaugurated the heliocentric model of the solar system


furthermore he befounded the orbit of the planets around the sun or he stated
that the earth revolved around the sun.

2. What is Darwin’s contribution to modern science?

ANSWER: Darwin's most important contribution to science was to complete the


Copernican Revolution by defining nature as a system of moving matter subject
to natural living rules. The origins and adaptations of organisms were brought
within the domain of science with Darwin's discovery of natural selection.

3. How can you describe Freudian ideas as a scientist?

ANSWER: One of the most well-known scientists in the domains of psychology


and psychiatry was Sigmund Freud. Sigmund Freud's ideas continue to affect
how we think about personality and the mind, despite the fact that they were
published almost a century ago.

4. Considering the current state of our society, do you think science literacy among
people has contributed to the growth of our economy?

Answer: Yes, because it helps with decision-making, understanding the risk-benefit


ratio, and promoting and acquiring scientific literacy.

4. How can science influence government policies?

ANSWER: It has a significant on policymaking. It includes public education,


human capital development, and professional and scientific training for a new
generation and can also teaches how to manage risk and avoid problems before

SCIENCE DISCOVERIES

 NICOLAUS COPERNICUS – He was the first modern European scientist


propose the heliocentric theory of the universe or model of the universe which
states that the earth and other planets orbit the sun.

 CHARLES DARWIN - He revolutionized the human perceptions of living things.


His theory of evolution by natural selection all of the life sciences together and
explain how living things evolved and adapted. He made contributions which is
evolutionary biology and philosophy science.

 SIGMUD FREUD – He invented and developed the psychoanalytic technique to


explaining the psychoanalytic concepts of motivation, mental illness,
subconscious structure.

TECHNOLOGY IN ASIA

 INDIA - Indians came up with a variety of innovative concepts and


technology that they might apply in their daily life. Furthermore, they
identified some plant therapeutic characteristics, which led to the
development of medicines to treat a variety of ailments. In the realm of
astronomy, Ancient India is also noteworthy they came up with
speculations about the universe's structure the 360-day year, divided into
12 equal 30-day portions, and the spherical self-supporting earth.

 CHINA - The Chinese are noted for developing various tools in terms of
technology. Among the Chinese's most well-known discoveries and
inventions are compass, papermaking, gunpowder, and printing
equipment were the foundations of civilization that was only discovered in
the west at the end of the Middle Ages.

 MIDDLE EAST - Muslims occupy the majority of the areas in these


countries and their intellectualization was aided by the common language
of Arabic, access to Greek writings from the Byzantine Empire, and their
proximity to India, all of which supplied their academics with information to
invent innovations and develop new concepts.
